Ok they score above 80.

What did the people in the paragraph score? Did you leave that out?

I'd love to see the context of that quote. It's certainly couched strangely in the article and the author is clearly a shill.

Cassidy is clearly referencing the Maness supporters in that comment. They might not like Cassidy, but he believes they will still vote for him in a runoff, due to the alternative choice. The wording is "couched strangely" for the purpose of inciting conservatives in general.

This is why Maness is in the race as a shill for Mary. Once the Senate goes republican, those that were going to vote for Cassidy just to put a check on Obama might then flip to Mary to keep her seniority. Maness guarantees a runoff for this to occur.

I see now they top group scored 100 and included Scalise. The bottom group scored above 80 and included Cassidy.

Has there been a thread focused on Cassidy's contempt for conservatives??

1. That's a lie
2. Clearly there is a thread on the politico slam piece on the first page.

As someone who has personally sat at his table and had conversations with him....PRIOR to his entry to political office / campaigning..I refute this.

Now, I challenge you to illustrate that you know the man better, longer than I.

I have ZERO issue with anyone that opposes him and wants someone else elected to office. But, I will call out a lie / mistake when I see it.

I'm calling your post one of those.

You want to blame the author for the Cassidy quote??? What other context could it have been?

quote:

To hear him tell it, almost any Republican could beat Landrieu; he just happens to be the guy that will do it. “They’re going to vote, they’ll hold their nose, they will do whatever,” he said of his state’s divided Republicans. “They will vote. We will win.”

You're a fricking idiot if you think that doesn't look suspect. Not saying true or not, but obviously a very weak context.

I await the evidence that steps up to my challenge in my previous post.

Should I simply go have dinner and come back? Seems it may take a while.

Exactly, and the group Cassidy is in is still considered conservative or they would be acknowledged as such.

I've talked to Cassidy one on one, and he's a conservative.

The guy has worked with people and for people prior to becoming a politician, and he's not just some stuffed shirt, pointy head physician.

No, he's not charismatic like Reagan or some other notable Republicans, but he's a solid citizen and he will stand up for the Constitution.

The evidence that he said conservatives need to hold their nose to vote for him??

Why would a conservative say that?

Perhaps you can start another thread this time tomorrow taking more quotes out of context and citing more bullshite articles as justification for doing so.

That has already been shown as you taking the comment out of context.

So, your out of context, inability to discern meaning beyond grade school capability, vs my personal knowledge (he has been in my home. I have been to dinners at his. I know his children. Etc) of the man over 15 years.

Your turn

I seriously don't know anything about the guy and the other night for debate was the only time I've seen him speak other than a commercial. So I wikied him:

quote:

Well before entering politics, he had been a Democrat. He supported Michael Dukakis for President in 1988 and donated money to the 1992 presidential campaign of Massachusetts Senator Paul Tsongas.[8][9] He also donated to Louisiana Democrats Kathleen Blanco for the 2003 gubernatorial election and Mary Landrieu for her 2002 Senate campaign.

Wow! Even I didn't support Dukakis and Tsongas.

No it has not. A Cassidy lemming screamed that.

What I want to know is what conservative is not offended by Cassidy's statement?
