paxton is how you up with Sen.Talrico
This makes no sense. The voting record will be night and day
Does that make sense?

If you don't think Paxton can beat Talarico, then the election is just a formality, because Cornyn lost to Paxton by over 20 points. There was no way he would have beaten Talarico.
Also with Cornyn losing, it also shed light on many "so called" Convervative Republicans (Bushes, Rove, etc) who said they were voting for Talarico, who goes against all of the basic conservative tenants we have. So regardless of who wins tomorrow, Bush, Rove and others lost even more respect of mine (not that there was much left anyway) by their antics around Talarico.

If you do not plan to vote because of some perceived moral issue about a candidate....you are a moron,
but virtue-signalling on the internet is all important.
O'Keefe just dropped a video of Talofricko's "girlfriend's" Dad saying he is a far left nutjob.

This 100% incorrect.
Try again.
Then complain that you didn't get a candidate that you wanted to vote for. No one will care.

This is the system we have and it's worked so far, albeit not always great.
The problem with having poor candidates to choose from comes from the ridiculous level of oppositional scrutiny looking for anything that can even be stretched to use against them, their family or their friends in order to hurt their chances or intimidate them out of the race.
Anyone wise enough to do the job well would also be wise enough to never run.

You should pick the lesser of two evils.
If they were different evils, I would tend to agree. One just makes our trajectory hit rock bottom faster.
They are the same evil, as they are owned by outside influence by either blackmail or threats of violence, or just plain ole greed.
If I don't eat at McDonalds or Burger King, it's because I don't want trash food at the moment.
There is no moral high-ground for those who vote for the same non-American interests by voting red or blue.
I am at the acceptance phase of my life for where we are headed. That's the first step to actually fix problems. We don't control who is nominated. And the ones elected are absolutely not beholden to us.

Paxton’s voting record will be total opposite of cornyn/ talarico. Clear enough for you?

You literally made this thread to cry about such people which demonstrates you care greatly.
And now you just think you're slick by pretending otherwise, even though your real care and motives are exposed.

That's why our country fricking sucks, dumb logic like this.
So, we should vote for the "greater of two evils"?
What country would you like to live in instead?
Just because you don't get everything you WANT when you WANT it, and for Free, doesn't mean this country sucks.
Don't tell me, you must be a Democrat that wants everything free, right?
(of course, you will reply with the lie of "I'm a lifelong Republican" crap. So, don't bother in replying)

I’m voting against a candidate for governor…..it’s not that I like the other guy but the one I’m voting against is the worse of the two.

Independent voters those that don't call themselves Republican nor Democrat will decide the election those people would have voted for Cornyn they have voted for Cornyn
they are not voting for paxton
The primaries only hardcore activist vote in either primary
The middle always decides the elections; they don't vote Ideologically
They vote based on present circumstances and the personality of the candidates
GOP loses that math with paxton ..Cornyn represented stability to independents
MAGA considered it stagnation...

The next candidate I vote for in a general election of any sort, who I legitimately think would try to implement MOST of what I might want when in office, will probably be the first.
I often find myself scratching my head wondering when some of these folks think there existed this Golden Age of American politics when they were provided a radically different option than that.

I wasn't crying about anything. I was pointing out that you should get out and vote, but don't complain about the outcome if you do not. No one will care about you complaining, especially when you hear people who did vote, when you didn't care enough to participate.

Makes it sort of weird to have you banging the drum so hard and for so long on the notion of "if only Cornyn had won the primary..."
So, you're basically as much "at fault" as anyone you think you might be constantly "calling out" here.

Then Cornyn shouldn't have voted the way he did, including on red flag laws.
quote:
John Cornyn's Bipartisan Safer Communities Act does not create a national red flag law but allows states to implement their own red flag laws
Sorry, pimping for unconstitutional laws using the excuse that he didn't create red flag laws, but that the states just decided to do it withing the framework of something he proposed, sounds exactly out of the (D) playbook.
