Disconnect Texas from any federal electric grid

More than 90% of Texas has its own grid. Only remote areas in East Texas and far west Texas are connected to the national grid.

This same self-contained grid system was the source of catastrophe during the recent severe freeze event. Now Texas has had it's own grid since the 1940s, and Texas has had more than its share of extreme weather events in 70+ years, but this was the first time there was systemic failure.

Then the Democrats say “no” and then the SCOTUS also says “no”.

Texans will have continued to pay income taxes the whole time for fear of getting in trouble but a few outliers will be made examples of.

Texas can never secede. It’ll be blue in 10 years anyway.

I think other states would push to join them . The federal government would do ever they could to make Texas struggle . They would try to keep all the republicans from moving there .

You really haven’t been paying attention. They view you as subhuman and themselves as morally superior and that’s why they are dangerous.

They won’t need to get violent tho. Their IRS and corporate America will keep you all in line.

Who gives a frick what the Feds next move is. I just pray South Carolina, Florida, and the rest of the south immediately join and start building that wall Trump talked about, just in a new location.

Oh and Georgia and North Carolina aren't invited. Unless of course you want to create Conservative Moving Parties and escort your liberals out of your state lines.

God damned I'd love to see that war start. Can you imagine a bunch of liberal panty wastes trying to break the Southern Spirit?

Ok, but for shits and giggles, what if TX said, "so what, bye". Them robed bitches can't physically stop them from seceding. Ultimately what this comes down to is force and bullets, and human will. Will Marines and Seals go into TX on behalf of Kamala to start gunning down Texans?

They'd never be able to get away with this.

Certainly you don't think they'll just shrug their shoulders and go "oh, well...looks like Texas is out".

Come on.

If a state wants to disconnect from the union, the first proper thing to do would be to remove union support. No more fed dollars. No more SSI. No more Medicare. No more interstate commerce.

You are 100% bananas if you think otherwise.

If Oregon wanted to secede while Trump was in office these would have been his first steps. Don't want in? Fine. You're cut out.

The Supreme Court has already said no to secession. The Union is an insoluble bond.

Well to be absolutely correct.... if you seceed and the fed gov either 1) ultimately agrees with it or 2) can’t do shite about it.. that ruling is then invalid.

Or at least if the justices can’t come down and talk them in to returning. Kinda like the old Andrew Jackson approach.

Cut off funding.
Pretty sure Texas will be just fine selling that oil elsewhere.

Blockade interstate travel
Fine by me, I'm pretty sure all of us can learn to live with staying in the south exclusively or out of the country.

Create/foster artificial inflation both within and without TX.
Texas can play this game too.

Disconnect TX from any federal electric grid.
How'd that power grid work out during that ice storm?

Nothing in, nothing out.
You get that the south has Texas back and so does Mexico right? I do alot of biz in Mexico and live there 5 months a year. They hate Biden, hate liberals, hate dem's and so does their president.

Meanwhile, the MSM goes 24/7 on the "basket of deplorables".
Who gives a frick?

Attrition.

Profit.

Last I checked they don't own us. And 75% of our infantry is in the south. Not to mention the current military wants to serve those who actually appreciate the. Not the men who sit to pee pee.

Would Washington immediately begin moving all military assets out of TX or keep them in place and try to maintain federal control? Would TX try to stop them? How?

I understand. Those areas would be disconnected from the federal grid. That's all I'm saying.

They'd also discontinue any monetary federal support. LINK ]For Texas, that's almost $270 billion, 2nd most in the country.

Now, Texas would be in the top 10 most robust economies in the WORLD, for sure. However, that only reinforces the federal government's need, even if only purely economical, to keep them in the union. Of course, deducting 270 billion dollars would drop their GDP below 1 trillion and put them outside the top 10...but still.

I said in another thread, if Montana wanted to secede the feds can wait them out. Disconnect from the grid, tariff the tits out of little they can produce and export, shut down interstate travel, etc.

But if you think the US is going to let 1.9 trillion dollars of Texas GDP walk without a fight...my man. You've got another thing coming.
