If TX had the votes to secede, and went through with it...then what?

How would that war game out? Forget about whether or not the governor and legislature would go along with it, lets just say they all did and got on board. What would be the next move by the federal government be?

Hopefully Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina, and about 40+ other states would join them. Then you would have the Balkanized Blue zones to flow into the sewer.

The democrats don't have the balls to start a violent conflict, so I honestly don't know. That's a big arse state with a lot of guns and a lot of military bases. And if Texas was bold enough to be the first, I think you'd see a lot more states follow them. And unfortunately for the liberals in Washington, we have most of the guns and most of the bulletts. Good luck

Try to stop all the productive people from fleeing to Texas and all the dregs from feeling from Texas.

Democrats would want a wall up in 3 days

Cut off funding. Blockade interstate travel. Create/foster artificial inflation both within and without TX. Disconnect TX from any federal electric grid. Nothing in, nothing out.

Meanwhile, the MSM goes 24/7 on the "basket of deplorables".

Attrition.

Profit.

They would cut all federal aid immediately. The big tell is if Texas votes for a state tax increase. That's when it may happen. They will need more state taxes to pay for the lack of federal aid. Texans would pay less taxes overall though hopefully.

Xiden and the gang can keep Stacey Abrams fat arse and Rafflesberger or however that useless idiot spells his name. Georgia isn't invited.

ETA and PS if Texas leaves, I'm moving there. I'm just hoping the whole Gulf Coast leaves with it. Because, Louisiana has better food, Desantis, Football and the FLA Panhandle beaches.

If Texas actually announced they were seceding, I think you'd probably see a few other states pushing fairly quickly to join them. Probably have some major internal battles within the US military and federal government about invading Texas or just letting them go. Can't see how many red states or Republicans would support a crackdown or invasion of Texas but the blue states and Dems would probably call it a state in rebellion and attempt to squash it heavy handedly.

“Next move” towards Texas or “next move” with regard to governance in general?

There’s no hopefully about it.
Texas will be sending substantially less $ to an overreaching federal government.

To this

Then this

M

And yes, I would let Texas temporarily govern an entire territory until all the Karen’s move back to Cali/NE.

Even if they abused their power, it would be better than what we have now by 10 fold.

I guess both. I know they wouldn't just sit and take it. They would do something. What cards would they have to play? I don't think Marines and Spec Ops guys are going into TX on behalf of Kamala.

There’d be little to nothing they could do.
If a group of millions of people peacefully voted for sovereignty and the US responded violently, other world powers would intervene.

They'd never be able to get away with this.

The Military would go with the seceding states wholeheartedly. Some pentagon factions might stay blue but not many

Lebron would be sad... and he wouldn’t have a visa to enter Old Glory USA either.

As a fellow Texan, I would also welcome a wall around our Republic.

Like AHP wrote, likely no widespread violence. Just crushed economically with little financing for a heavily indebted (and probably isolated) new government. US Corporations will move out due to government pressures.

I think a key element would be what foreign countries would recognize TX independence, especially China & Russia.
