You know he'll be too old then. This is his last chance, just like Regan's reelection. This is America's last chance too.
Man, Reagan was 73 in 1984.
Trump will be 78 by the election. Biden will turn 82 shortly after it. It’s insanity that all of our leaders are so old

People were still following L Ron Hubbard and he died at 74.

If Dems win in '24.... All the craziness of the last 3 years x 10.
Elections would be no more than a orchestrated show, much worse than present.

Trump is not, and has never been conservative.
He’s an old school Manhattan Democrat.
Big spender and pro-choice.. Willing to use the military in targeted strikes when necessary Loves himself some big government, if he thinks that people are going to like him for it.

If he can't win in 2024, what makes you think he could win in 2028?

I'm 53.
Every one of the Republicans who served as president since I was born in 1970 followed more consistently conservative principles than Trump.
What's difficult about that? All of them were MORE conservative than Trump.
So Nixon, Ford, Reagan, Bush, and Bush. Just because none of them were as conservative as you or I might like doesn't mean they weren't more conservative than Trump.

No because he won’t run after his 8 years or presidency is done with.
Posted on 1/11/24 at 12:34 pm to hikingfan
I would not support him due to his age. As it is, he’s pushing it. But I’m definitely voting for him this time around. I don’t think he’ll be able to do it in 2028, nor should he want to. If he loses this time around, he should relax and enjoy retirement, and we’ll remember him for how much he’s done

at the pace the Dims are moving we may not have the right to vote in 2028!
Just keep voting against those you don't like, mean comments, or stay at home and not vote and a hundred other excuses.

No.
He would certainly and understandably continue to have an influential voice until he passes on but at that point there needs to be someone younger to carry the movement forward.
People who trust no one but Trump are gonna have to learn to try and trust someone else at some point otherwise they’ll be stuck with memories and promises never fully realized….but little else.

Depends on the candidates available, but overall I view this as Trump's last shot. Honestly not sure why he'd even want to run again.

Can he run from prison?
Because if he loses this time around that's probably where he'll be in 2028.

Elections ended in 2016 dude

There’s not gonna be an election in 2028. There wasn’t in 2020. I’m not even sure there’s gonna be one later this year

I came to terms with this in March 2020 when Trump was ostensibly the president

Hell no, those people will get all kinds of things.
They'll get tax increases, inflation, lots and lots and LOOOOTS of illegal immigrants, they'll get told that they don't deserve to live for being white and for being Christian, they'll get to pay reparations to someone, they'll get to pay people's college tuition for them so that they can get Master's degrees in Lesbian Dance Theory, they'll get more and more and more of the population sawing off dicks and breasts and they'll get to call those people by their preferred pronouns or face criminal charges for assault, they'll get foreign conflicts that their grandkids will have to fight because we'll be so weak on foreign policy that Iran and China will continue to challenge more and more...heck, I can't even list all the things they'll get.
Which is why they are so stupid for refusing to vote for anyone but Trump.
And before anybody starts with the "Uniparty" bullshite, list the Republicans who want to raise taxes. List the Republicans who want to facilitate more trans surgeries and hormone therapy. List the Republicans who campaign on increasing illegal immigration, reparations, and taxpayers paying off student loans. List the Republicans saying that white people are all oppressors.
Yes, Republicans aren't as effective or committed to conservative policies as I wish they were, by half.
But the half that they are committed to is really important. It's the difference in not slowing down illegal immigration as much as I'd like and what's happening now. Literally inviting them in and setting records—300,000 in one month alone.
And btw, Trump wasn't as effective as he could have been by half either.
This stubborn childish pouting that Trumpanzees do is going to be the death of the country.

Nobody in my lifetime has been a conservative. Wasn’t alive for Reagan and he was the last somewhat. We’ve only steadily moved left since his tenure

As we get closer to 2030 this country is gonna become more and more unrecognizable. We’re gonna be slaves or there’s gonna be revolution that’s all there is to it

No this is it and for me I will go further and say that it NEEDS to be Biden vs Trump.
I think that the country needs a redo. They need the chance to right the wrong. They voted for Biden for whatever reason and we got the results they voted for.
If they are happy with those results then by all means vote that way again. If they feel like they were better off under Trump then they should vote accordingly.
To do the opposite will mean that they will get what they deserve.
