Good. Sounds like business as usual is dead.
Put the best available people in the best available positions.
Yup. Not worried that the guys that had the brilliant idea to arm isis on one side of a border and fight them on the other side are no longer going to be involved.
Maybe we can finally gtfo of the middle east.

Step 1: Build a wall.
Step 2: Issue a moratorium on immigrants & refugees from certain countries & regions.
Step 3: reduce Homeland Security's budget & bureaucracy.
Problem solved

Why did you bother to post that you were open-minded during the election, when you're clearly anti-Trump based on posts like this?
For the record, Trump has now been pres-elect for less than 48 hrs. He is not a Democrat, so there's little chance that anyone in position currently would be retained (although there always seems to be some non-political holdovers). He has a core group in place, and he's got a list of names he's considering for various positions.
There's nothing out of the ordinary here.
The only thing that is relevant, is that it's a good thing the "never-Trump" Republicans outed themselves before knowing the election results. These are dumbasses, they're politicians who swore to serve their country and not their own personal agenda. It's good to eliminate those who refuse that duty from the list of potential staff.
From an objective standpoint, Trump know nows who he CAN'T count on to be loyal. That helps narrow the list, so the choices are easier.

dude, i post on a trump leaning message board. I read the shite yall post.
While my IRL is in a bubble, I get plenty of insight from outside that.
and I will point out, that I am about the only liberal left here. if yall continue to be asses, I will also leave.

I don't believe this for one second. It's been less than 48 hours and he's struggling to staff his national security team? Gtfo

Well, bye.
No safe space here. It's also funny considering when you got in a tizzy and started posting Trump supporters need a safe space from polls in multiple threads.

quote:Who's being an arse to you? Trump won the election 2 days ago, despite a general public media consensus that he would lose. A large amount of people who voted for him did so expecting that he wouldn't be able to carry enough Rust Belt states to win. You have to expect a little happiness from the winning side.

As for his upcoming cabinet- of course it hasn't been named yet. Trump is promising the best possible team, and he's a political outsider. Odds are high that he will offer some other outsiders- business professionals for Commerce, etc- and that those people wouldn't publically commit before the election... could be bad for business.
It's not that he doesn't have viable choices, what you posted is that he has a list that's already pared itself down a lot. For efficiency, that's good. If there's a guy who might have been considered, and has already come out as stating he's "never Trump", then he's off the list. Good, less concerns about loyalty in this process.
