If there really is child porn on the laptop, is Rudy in trouble for showing it?

He keeps showing reporters and many are even hoping he made a copy of the hard drive before the FBI took it just in case the FBI "loses" it.

My question is this: would Rudy be in MAJOR trouble if there really is child pornography on it and he keeps showing all these reporters and even potentially making a copy of it? Seems that would be a giant arse no-no, right?

He's probably exempt as an officer of the court if it's related to a case.

For all practical purposes this is complete horseshite until Hunter is in handcuffs. If there really was CP on this laptop he’d be arrested by now.

Hes a lawyer, a former prosecutor, and a former attorney general, mayor, and the current counsel to the president.

Do you really think he'd make a mistake like that?

Not as long as he is trying to get something done about it, and using it as evidence.

How? Is it because he's an attorney and has some kind of special clearance to show it? I'm with the rest of the board and pray this is all true so Trump can have a better chance, obviously, but I still have my doubts this is real.

I'm ignorant to many of the laws that would pertain to this specific situation so I'm genuinely asking to learn.

I think it's a felony if law enforcement take possession of material evidence showing criminal activity and does not act on it.

Wray needs to be fired immediately. Delaware state police need to be investigated. The FBI needs to be investigated. They've had this information for a year and nothing has come of it. People need to be fired and put in jail SOON.

I would assume any pictures of minors are redacted enough to ensure they are protected. Everything else is fair game.

I'm not a legal expert by any means, but it would seem to me that he would be in trouble if he published it. Verifying it with media outlets?

I trust Rudy knows what he's doing. He's sorta whip smart on the law I think.

By whom? The FBI? The same FBI that helped organize a coup on our sitting POTUS? The same FBI that fabricated evidence against a sitting POTUS? Or what about the Delaware police that once given the information, immediately gave it back to that same FBI.

No one is going to be arrested, if the guilty party is a Democrat. Those are the facts of life now.

I said it yesterday, it all depends on what he's actually doing with it.

Speaking to law enforcement and prosecutors and handing it over to them? He's fine as long as he doesn't keep a copy of it himself.

Showing actual videos or images to reporters? He could possibly be in trouble for that.

Context is everything and we don't know the answers to any of those questions as to what he's actually doing with them. Rudy isn't a dummy so I'm guessing he's covering his arse.

This is starting to sound like the infamous Hillary & Huma video. "It's horrific, vile stuff. 30 year vets of the NYPD threw up when they saw it. Some guys even killed themselves over it because they couldn't live with the guilt. But darn it, we just can't find anybody in the whole country to actually prosecute it"

This isn't correct. There are ZERO exemptions. Even for attorneys of those being prosecuting. The Feds have threatened and even attempted to prosecute attorneys for having the evidence or trying to use it to defend their clients. All of that has to be done under protective order.

Rudy sharing the drives knowing it contained potential illegal child photos would be distribution and easily prosecuted under the law if the Feds wanted to.

This has been an effort by federal prosecutors to make it nearly impossible to defend these cases. Similar to how they manage drug minimums, etc.

The only problem I can see for him is how long he knew about these underage girl pictures but didn't turn it over to the cops until now.

I tried saying this yesterday but was yelled at. Possession is illegal, period. The only ones with immunity are the prosecutor and agent handling the case, and even then it is in a tightly controlled environment.
