If the Fed Gov is this bloated, what about every State?

Tomorrow, I will be contacting all of my local and State Government officials and demand they start auditing waste. You know the theft is as great here/there as in the Federal government.

Same on the local and state level

Louisiana use to have an exceptional legislative auditor, Daryl Purpera. He uncovered so much fraud in this State at the local level. I always thought if he had a bigger staff he could have really made a dent in the corruption at the local level.

It's bad. But, probably not at same level as federal.
Local depends largely on location. St Tammany much less than Orleans.

There's going to be some bloat, but nothing like what we have seen with the federal government due to state governments having balanced budget amendments.

Can you imagine if they just had a website that showed every check that was written everyday. Would be glorious.

Difference is states can't print money at will

Don't states have to at least try to balance their budgets? That is the main problem with the Fed. They dont have to balance shite. Just keep running shite up every year.

I think when you include people who work for the state governments, the counties, the municipalities and then throw in public educators, we're looking at 20-30% of the US workforce being directly paid with US taxpayer dollars.....that's tens of millions of Dim voters.

Yeah, but Louisiana will cut checks at a certain percentage to a minority business who didn't even win the bid.

I imagine they will get right back to you on that!

Mainly in Illinois and Louisiana.

In Louisiana, state contracts are required to designate a percentage, typically around 10%, to be awarded to minority-owned businesses, meaning that a portion of the contract value must be allocated to companies classified as minority businesses as per state regulations; this is designed to promote diversity in government contracting.

California brags about their economy.
They’d be ashamed of their WFA. They need Big ballz.

I worked at a local (parish/county) government level for several years. I always wondered what the level of waste was at the federal level because of what I saw. Guess I'm getting my answers now.
The amount of non-qualified people hired due to nepotism, etc was frustrating and 20% of us were doing 80% of the work. Needless to say I left. There are definitely some good and hard working government employees but it's definitely a small percentage. The best/brightest eventually leave.
