They can't/won't even deal with the narco-terrorists in their own country. If suicide is the endgame, then by all means make a move on the U.S.

The Cajun Navy could take on their Navy.

I'm just imagining a bunch of Budreauxs out in their Bass Trackers with deer rifles. It would probably be plenty.

Florida (proximity) and Texas (more oil refineries than any other state, by far) would be more likely targets. That said, with the Trump admin's presence lately in fighting drugs at sea, I don't think a military flotilla could make it to our shores unimpeded.

If we're talking small cells already here, I don't think there's enough to be a true threat (rando bombings/shootings would be only temporary instances which would quickly be addressed).

I’m not saying an amphibious invasion of louisiana. Im talking missile and drone strikes with chinese weapons (of which Venezuela has plenty) in the style of the Ukrainian war.

They dont. They dont have the ability to defend their own borders. They are no threat to us.

They cannot even imagine what they are inviting in provoking a conflict with us.

Its just bluster. The Socialist dictator understands that American Progs always support the "oppressed."

If Venezuela could get a boat even close enough to strike the US, targets would be refineries, LNG facilities, and ethylene production facilities. Hit Corpus Christi, Houston, Lake Charles, and Baton Rouge you would cripple world wide energy markets and disrupt most of the world economy as ethylene is a building block for plastics used in everything.

This is also why the gulf coast is filled with air bases and naval facilities.

We have ran out of natural enemies… the focus of our military attention will be South America the next 50-60 years… expect Brazil to soon be propped up as a quasi-superpower and Venezuela/Colombia to have intentions to acquire nuclear weapons

La. survived the Cuban missile crisis with Castro and the USSR. We'll be fine. Just stock a central room of your house with canned goods and water to wait for the radiation levels to drop after the bomb hits.

My answer stays the same. Florida has more people and is closer (thus more likely to make landfall and impact a larger amount of people) with Texas having large population centers as well and being far more important due to oil (looking at you, Houston).

None of their current missile systems have a range of further than 150-160 miles (Kh-31-31P/PD system). That means even if they were to launch from Cuba, the furthest into the US they could strike would be Homestead, FLA.

If China were to give them something with longer range (any of their DF series ICBMs, for example, whose ranges are in the thousands of miles and enough to hit anywhere in the lower 48) and they used them to target anywhere in the US, about the only place in LA which would be a contender would be Barksdale in Shreveport (New Orleans is a possibility just for the MS River, but without it being a military hub it's going to be way down the list). The result of something like that would be that we would wipe the frick out of whichever country did it and then possibly get into a hot war with China (at the least, the "tariff war" would look like playing pat-a-cake).
