Trusting Tip O'Neal to keep his word on immigration was Reagan's biggest mistake.

Why Reagan didn't demand the end of birthright citizenship as a leverage for amnesty is a head scratcher......or is it?

Trump has shown plenty of gumption; so did Reagan

Reagan made a bad decision with his '86 amnesty deal.He actually trusted the Dems to keep their promises and seemingly forgot the overwhelming mandate he got in '84.

Trump leaned who and what the Dems/RINOS were in his 1st term and isn't making those mistakes again

So this is what it's come to. Shitting on the greatest president in my lifetime, and possibly the greatest president of the 20th century, in an effort to somehow validate Orange.

Holy shite.

That border stayed open for decades, for the exact same reason Trump is currently selling out his mass deportation promise to corporate interests.

This country is addicted to cheap foreign labor and the President simply will not take away the drug. Our President won't even hold employers, corporate or otherwise accountable for violating labor law. This is how all of us know he's not serious about deportation.

Trump has his own brand of amnesty, and amnesty by any other name is still amnesty. These so called "agricultural carve outs" is code for selling out to every industry in this country that relies on illegal labor for its workforce. This shite doesn't stop with lettuce picking, and only a dumdum believes it does.

Reagan let the CoC convince him giving amnesty to a bunch of 3rd worlders was good for the economic zone formerly known as the United States.

I cleverly hid it here.

To be fair to Ronnie, the Overton Window has shifted significantly to the right since his time. And he had a big hand in getting that started. Back then average people thought things like AR's were scary, and that abortion was a necessary evil. Those things moved in large part because he got the ball rolling the right way.

Different post. So... yeah. I already addressed it.

No. Just just don't see how name calling and personal insults are relevant to it.
