It makes more sense than gender.

The genetic difference of race is much smaller than for sex.

My position on reparations might change with this one.

Race is a cultural characteristic, based not on just physical appearances and inherited traits, but also language, religion, diet, cultural traditions and practices, etc. It's best to think of race as a social, not a scientific distinction.

Sexuality is scientific, primarily. There's even speculation within the scientific community that non-binary sexuality may be a genetic variant; a natural nucleotide substitution within the human genome.

Of course there's a social component to human sexuality; girls traditionally playing with dolls, boys with GI Joe and fast cars. But the difference between race and sex is this: race is mostly social, with scientific underpinnings, whereas sex is primarily scientific, with a strong social conditioning.

Folks been doing it for as long as man has existed. Race is not in any manner associated with any biological marker that can be tested for. Race, just like gender, is a societal and cultural construct. Folks have been passing as a different race than what most people would guess they were if they knew the parents for as long as our species has existed and developed the idea of race in human beings.

Once again using sex and gender as synonyms and causing confusion by doing so.

Sex is science...it can not be denied. It can be tested for and the tests are almost 100% accurate (some folks not so much but for practical purposes 100%). Race and Gender are almost identical in that they are social and cultural constructs based on societies and cultures expectations and do not take into consideration the opinion of the individual being identified as one gender or one race.

Sex is 100% scientific, gender is based on a strong social conditioning.

For most any red-blooded young fella, snapper's in season 24/7/365.

I mean, if either of them was truly on a spectrum, it is race.

That's my argument too.

Toss away genetics, and all that's left is feels.

Applying the rule of gender identity to race, if someone feels black, then they are.

And it isn't anyone else's place to question it.
