I just think we are dealing with a flawed individual that is standing as a bridge to where we are and where we need to be.
quote:The GOPE has been selling this line for decades for decades. "This is the best bill we could get, we'll get 'em next time!". At some point voters need to stop showing up for the beating.
I don’t agree with a lot of Trumps decisions but I know we don’t need to forsake the good in reaching for the great.

You can’t really believe that. The periphery issues may not change, but MAGA is better than packing the courts, Temu Obama with adding states to the Union simply to maintain power, etc. Just to name couple.
I wish we had a true Conservative but we will never see one again. Too many groups have their hand out and cutting the money off will be worse for everyday Americans than slowly getting choked on the debt. Short term anyway, and that’s all that’s important to 90% of voters.

What matters is the economy. The deep state is quickly getting rid of the fiscal hawks.

You are a true believer. You hold everyone accountable. It’s a noble endeavor. Even the press has forsaken that stance. They picked a side years ago and are standing on it.
You can see the detriment that has caused for decades. And holding Trump accountable is how it should be as well, but we need to always acknowledge that he can’t right the ship with all the adversity he faces.
Name a perfect politician. Please. Name one. We support their ideals and swallow the rest. It’s how it’s always been.
Even Alistair Cromwell was a flawed individual, and history is opposed on him being a hero or a villain. By wiser individuals than us. We should never eschew good in search of great.

Nope.
I'm a firm believer in classic conservative economics.

There isnt. But watching Trump systematically try to destroy conservatives rather than Democrats confirm my fears from long ago about Trump.
Warmongering globalists who love to spend other people's money are still in charge. Doesnt matter who is in office, they get their way in the end evidently.
Ed Gallrein should be a glaring example. Empty suit, Republican come lately, will rubber stamp what he's told.

Massie is likely going to win.
I voted for Trump, and I don’t regret it. But I don’t understand how someone can claim to support small government, free markets, and conservative principles—and at the same time have such intense hostility toward Thomas Massie.
He was the lone vote against the COVID stimulus—the policy that helped ignite the inflation we’re still dealing with. If you asked which member of Congress has most consistently voted for individual liberty and economic restraint, Massie would be near the top of that list.
Same with the Second Amendment—few, if any, have been more consistently aligned with it. If we had a Congress full of Massies- this would be the most conservative free market nation to ever exist. A literal small government wet-dream.
But he dares to criticize some of Trump’s moves—at a near-infinitesimal fraction of the rate he criticized Biden or Obama—and suddenly he’s the worst person in Congress.
That’s not principled disagreement—it’s loyalty overriding standards. And when this gets downvoted, it’ll only reinforce the point.
Dumping millions into kicking out the most small government person in congress instead of using it to fight wacko leftist seems like a plan the democrats would employ.

Depends on what you want to hear. Because what you will see is virtually the same economy regardless of the POTUS. No one has the guts to make the hard choices.
The voter can be blamed for some of that, but apathy is 100% understandable.
Look at this Massie election. If you dont want Massie, you'll get another empty suit who prefers the status quo and y'all will hate him too. Its just drama at this point and exhausting.
Dems are watching the Republican party split apart without doing anything to cause it.

Yeah, OP seems to think it's all just a paranoid fantasy. Tough to claim when said jews made such a big story out of the piles of money they are pouring into the opposition's campaign.
