It would have to be built on the same spot, and would certainly result in a global war.
Whenever I hear someone talking about us living in the end times, I generally ignore them, knowing the Temple must be rebuilt first.
None of us is likely to see a third temple in our lifetimes.

This is idiotic. The Bible clearly states the temple will be built, and that this is a harbinger of the end times. The only non arabic country that attacks Israel in those times is a northern slavic country, i.e. Russia.
Read your Bible.
For Amils and Postmils who read the same Bible, we don’t believe the temple needs to be rebuilt. It would also be blasphemous, given that Christ is the once-for-all sacrifice for Jews and Gentiles to be received by faith.
I see 2 Thes 2:4 as representative of the Church, not a rebuilt temple.

That doesn’t even make sense. No one on here is cheering for Iran or Hamas. Why we despise Israel is because they literally buy and sell our politicians. No one spends more on elections than the pro-Israel lobby. It’s crazy how many Americans buy into two different falsehoods - that Israel is our greatest ally, and that the modern secular state of Israel is God’s chosen people. Israel doesn’t need our help. We need to get out of their way and they need to get out of ours.

No, it doesn’t make sense when you include the notion of “cheering for Iran or Hamas.” Which I clearly didn’t mention anything about “cheering.” The point was mutual fury and hatred towards Israel. Same concept as the situation when some Americans (including some amongst us here) were vigorously protesting Israel at the exact same time Hamas sympathizers were doing so out in the streets. Mutual interests, apparently. Thus the suggestion to team up and physically go arm in arm instead of just rhetorically.
