He will continue obstructing because that is the ONLY reason he was installed in that position. It's not like he got there on his merits. He is carrying out the will of some group who still has some measure of control.

As soon as the 2026 election is over all of the republican groups should let Thune know to start getting things done or they are going to work on getting him out of office . Turning point and Scott Presler should be letting him know they are heading to his state once the election is over.
