Or, to put it another way, when being forced to choose between the lesser of two evils,

maybe the least of the 3evils was the right choice

The Rachett Queen was the first to be voted off the island

The one palatable candidate, Wesley Hunt, never got out of the primary
He proved to be too immature for it

But he'd be THE front-runner, albeit slightly, for 2032

i predict Gil eventually

I don’t think Hunt is out of it yet. He seems a practical pro-GOP party man.

cornyn losing was not hijacking a conservative movement. This is asinine

Well apologies for the c@nt comment. Not my words but I'll apologize regardless

Talking your comments as a serious question (most aren't), maga was a good thing when it started. Its devolved to a personality cult that pushes out moderates or anyone disloyal. A million strings celebrating paxton when the point was made over and over he was not electable. He couldn't debate because of his issues.

Trump should have been kingmaker but too much ego. Two years of full control and we have a two trillion dollar deficit, iran war, allies hate us, etc etc. Now all it is trump shite posting Jesus trump pictures and naming something else new america

And maga laps it up. This is why we have that idiot press secretary, a fox news defense secretary, on and on

Time for maga hijack to end. Hopefully people realize that when the great state of texas picks Talarico as its next senator. Maybe they will become serious people again.

It's a fair question, but it's not the right question; we're talking about who wins the election.

Not who we would score as the
quote:

best

1. Your choice for "best" and your criteria are valid; this is the United States democracy and shite, after all: George Washington, Valley Forge, the Declaration, and Thomas Jefferson, the Constitution, James Madison.

All the WARS we fought for democracy and shite to give ordinary people, working-class schmucks, that drink beer and who built this Nation,]
They get to vote, goddammit
They gave us the right to vote and God Bless them for it

B, remember that OTHER PEOPLE vote too this , is the United States,, democracy and shite

Now you may think other people's criteria, like the liberals, progressives, white women, gays, you and I can agree that their criteria is fricked; it's wrong; it's insane.

They are fricking nuts; thats the best thing we have going for us yes
quote:

( UsCONSERVATIVES ,God Fearing, nation loving SOB Im a PK ,,AoG for Gods sake,, My family Christmas growing up Christmas Eve was a church service with all the family grandfathers uncles cousins that's what Christmas with family was, a church service . And I was a Boy Scout.
You have no idea how truly authentically conservative I am. But I really know what makes someone a conservative. And you frickers have mustard on your shite,, stupid rednecks

Right now.
This 2026 election isn't the end; it's a setback,

but they are going too far left. WAY TOO FAR

And they're not getting there because the majority of America wants to go there. Because the independent voters the ones that are going to take us there this time don't really understand how crazy they are because they don't pay attention to politics like everybody who posts on this board does
And this is merely a blip. With this trend, this is just going to make sure that AOC is the Democrat nominee for president. That crazy bitch can't win the election; she won't win. All men will vote against her, and the ones that control their women

So we're gonna have every other demographic: The Nation, white, brown, Black men. gay men, at least at a minimum, 35% of all women who are not AA versus single mothers, pro-aborts, and lesbians, and that's not because there are three times as many; it's that it's all the same person.
Your local city/county-level Democratic Party is so grossly dominated, completely dominated, by anti-male women and gays. The soy boys around them aren't the ones that have the power. Power to "make T'rico, ironically.

There are a lot of them, but not enough to win a national election.

If we are smart, quite frankly, nominating people like paxton works against the true long game wins there could be if Republicans have their shite together across this nation going into 28.

the Democrats are going too far and the independents are going to start to get a sense of that but the Democrats love the smell of their own farts or queefs right now so they can keep doing it

This 26 is a reaction to two years ago 24. Y'all are angry right now because you thought Trump winning in 24 meant you had won. Like your favorite wrestler finally got the belt and there's no way Vince McMahon was going to let him lose in the next EVENT.
elections forever come up every two years. That's the kind of insider information that makes me such an a-hole

This is politics. This is volatile democracy. This is nothing extraordinary; it's very predictable. Be smart about it, and you capture the long game.

It's always been and always will be a forever fight that's history that's facts again something you should have learned in civics one oh one That's history that's facts again something you should have learned in Civics 101

You want to really get me going? Let me point out that the next big political battle isn't between Republicans and Democrats, but between men and women. Women vote at like 52% of the overall vote; men gotta go out and vote more.

The Democratic Party would become more conservative if more men who would not vote Republican at least went and voted. Thats the quickest fix.

This is why paxton wouldn't debate. He'd be smoked. Talarico would have asked him also about the securities fraud settlement.

Yeah, that statistic hasn't deviated more than a percentage point and a half.

The attorney at Paxtons impeachment hearing outright stated all of the "Paxton is a crook", bad man, headlines... were to set him up.

Bottom line, name a more prolific Attorney General.

Paxton went after Obama, Biden policies. Then he had the power structure of the Bush klan on his arse complete with a railroaded impeachment.

I am shocked Obama and Bidens' DOJ didnt FBI raid his home full throttle.

He was very astute and gutsy filing a lot of lawsuits, even the Texas v. Pennsylvania one that Robert's thumped at--no standing.

Paxton was surrounded by the boudreax butt hurt paste, bitter Bush klan---- AND the DC federal establishment. And he still beat GPBush and Cornyn.

Texans wisely figured this all out after years we were all fooled by the Bush's.

How is this criminal?
quote:

Ken Paxton’s major actions as Texas Attorney General (since taking office in 2015) include frequent lawsuits against federal administrations (especially Obama and Biden), consumer protection/privacy enforcement, opioid recoveries, immigration/border-related suits, election-related litigation, abortion/LGBTQ-related enforcement, and various state-level consumer, fraud, and regulatory cases.

Many involve leading multistate coalitions. Outcomes vary (wins, losses, settlements, injunctions). This is a high-level summary of notable ones, drawn from official releases, court records, and reporting—not exhaustive.

Texas v. Pennsylvania (and related 2020 election litigation)

In December 2020, Paxton filed Texas v. Pennsylvania (also involving Georgia, Michigan, and Wisconsin) directly in the U.S. Supreme Court under original jurisdiction. It alleged those states violated the Constitution (including the Electors Clause/independent state legislature theory) by changing election procedures via non-legislative means amid COVID-19, seeking to block certification of their electors.

en.wikipedia.org

The Supreme Court denied leave to file the bill of complaint on December 11, 2020, holding that Texas lacked Article III standing to challenge how other states conduct their elections. Justices Alito and Thomas noted they would have allowed the filing but not granted relief.

en.wikipedia.org

Related: State Bar of Texas later sued Paxton over alleged professional misconduct/dishonest claims in the filing about voter fraud evidence; that litigation has continued in appeals. Paxton’s office has also pursued election fraud investigations/prosecutions (hundreds of offenses/investigations reported) and sought expanded authority to prosecute election crimes.

texastribune.org

Lawsuits against federal administrations

Filed dozens against the Obama administration (claimed ~27 in a two-year stretch, with high success rates on injunctions/wins in some areas like immigration, EPA rules, religious freedom, and the Clean Power Plan).

texasattorneygeneral.gov

More than 100 against the Biden administration (over 20 on immigration alone), often in friendly venues seeking nationwide injunctions. Targets included immigration policies (e.g., pause on deportations, Title 42 revocation, parole programs for certain nationalities, enforcement priorities, Remain in Mexico changes), ACA/Obamacare challenges, overtime rules, Title IX/gender identity guidance, energy efficiency standards, nursing home staffing, highway emissions tracking, and more. Some blocked or delayed policies; others lost (e.g., standing limits in immigration cases).

houstonpublicmedia.org +1

Other federal challenges: EMTALA guidance on emergency abortions; HHS rules on parental consent/contraceptives for minors; DACA-related suits; federal spending/quorum issues (Texas v. Garland).

en.wikipedia.org

Consumer protection, privacy, and Big Tech

Landmark privacy settlements: ~$1.4 billion with Meta (Facebook) over facial geometry/biometric data collection without informed consent (described as largest single-state privacy settlement); ~$1.375 billion with Google over geolocation, incognito, voiceprints, and facial geometry tracking.

legalclarity.org +1

Additional Google actions/settlements (e.g., advertising, biometrics, anticompetitive practices).

Suits/settlements involving Temu (data protection from CCP exposure and toxic products), OpenAI/ChatGPT (harms including to children), Discord (child predators/safety deception), Meta/WhatsApp (encryption claims), baby food companies (Gerber/Nestlé over heavy metals), PFAS “forever chemicals” manufacturers (3M/DuPont), and others on deceptive practices, toxic products, or data issues.

texasattorneygeneral.gov

Opioids and healthcare fraud

Multistate opioid litigation/recoveries exceeding $3 billion total for Texas (including from manufacturers, distributors, pharmacies, consultants). Examples: settlements involving Purdue/Sacklers, Mallinckrodt, McKinsey, Albertsons, Gilead ($45M Medicaid kickbacks), Pfizer/Tris Pharma ($41.5M adulterated drugs).

texasattorneygeneral.gov +1

Medicaid Fraud Control Unit recoveries >$1 billion since ~2020; other actions against pharma (e.g., Plavix effectiveness disclosures, Eli Lilly bribery claims).

Immigration, border, and related

Extensive suits challenging federal immigration policies (as noted above). Also state-level actions supporting Texas border measures (e.g., appeals related to SB 4).

legalclarity.org

Abortion, gender, and related social issues

Defended Texas abortion restrictions (including SB 8 “heartbeat” law design); challenged federal EMTALA guidance on emergency abortions; actions involving abortion pills and out-of-state providers; opposition to certain gender-transition

After seeing all the B.S. thrown at Trump to knock him out, one can’t not think the same tactic is being used against Paxton.

Paxton was so prolific I could go on and on.

Dare another idjit or big man on campus blowhard call Paxton a criminal, much less convicted...
quote:

Ken Paxton’s office has units focused on human trafficking and child exploitation, with official claims of hundreds of arrests and convictions for related offenses (including online solicitation of minors, child pornography, and trafficking).

These include proactive investigations, assistance in local prosecutions, recoveries of victims/missing children, and civil suits targeting platforms accused of enabling predators.

Critics and reporting have highlighted some low case volumes in certain periods, lenient plea deals in specific cases handled by the office, and other issues.

texasattorneygeneral.gov

Involvement in the investigation and arrest related to Backpage.com (described by the office as helping shut down a major online sex trafficking marketplace; federal authorities led the ultimate seizure and indictment, with Texas AG participation in related probes and the CEO’s arrest).

politifact.com +1

Other announced efforts: Multistate letters opposing changes that could benefit sex traffickers; assistance in local trafficking prosecutions.

Exactly. Additionally, the masks are off in the Bush/Cornyn support of Talarico.

What are the tenents of their so called compassionate conservatism in James Talarico?
