Because we on the right sat on our arse for far too long while the left worked harder at turning the media, the schools, and big tech against us. It's disgusting that we're even in a close battle with this Biden harris ticket.

I’ve always wondered how in the hell every election comes down to basically a coin flip. Roughly 360000000 Americans and every damn election since Reagan seems like a coin flip. What are the statistical probabilities of this phenomenon. Goes without saying it’s horrifying that approximately 170000000 people will pull the lever for Joe Biden.

No. We on the right stand for freedom or we stand for nothing. We are not interested in controlling media, schools or companies. That's what communists do.

If the rule you followed brought you to this, of what use was the rule?

It's called principle. If I'm the last conservative left in America I'm not going to abandon my principles.

More like 65-70 million (you're counting people under 18 and non-voters).

Said as you're kneeling in front of a mass grave with a gun to the back of your head.

This is the nature of conservatives, and why I hate them more than progs. With progs, I know what I'm getting. With conservatives, I get a knife in the back from people who claimed that they were on my side.

Biden is a buffoon and everyone knows it. People are not voting for him, they’re voting against the other guy.

O'Brian: And do you consider yourself a man?

Winston: Yes.

O'Brian: If you are a man, Winston, you are the last man. Your kind is extinct; we are the inheritors. Do you understand that you are alone? You are outside history, you are non-existent.

His manner changed and he said more harshly:

"'And you consider yourself morally superior to us, with our lies and our cruelty?'"

Winston: Yes, I consider myself superior.

"'...You are the last man,' said O'Brien. 'You are the guardian of the human spirit...”

The direction the GOP has been going since Reagan left office telegraphed where we are now politically. Where we are culturally is another story and is as big a reason Biden/Harris is even a consideration. We have turned into a willfully ill-informed society that prefers ludicrous fantasies over reality. This is why big tech doesn't fear condemnation for their open censorship. This is why the media outright lies in such nakedly partisan fashion.

We're a culture that considers "Black Panther" an important piece of art history. A comic book character. It's really not surprising we're in danger of a rutabaga occupying the White House.

The problem is that no matter how much Zach and others claim to be about principle, conservative history betrays them. They don't conserve anything, other than yesterday's prog agenda.

25 years from now, they'll adamantly defend the right to forcibly give 8 year olds hormone treatments so that they can transition and the right for trannys to use the women's restroom with your wife and daughter as fundamental American freedoms, all while admonishing progs for pushing things too far too fast.

Their principles are empty and meaningless.

Nice reference.

If you recall, at the beginning of the novel, Winston thought O'Brien was on his side.

"We shall meet in the place where there is no darkness."

Of course our society seems to be evolving more along Huxley's lines than Orwell's.

Linking the word 'conservative' with 'conserving things' indicates you are below 5th grade level on political knowledge.

North Korea is a communist dictatorship. Therefore, you believe that anyone who supports maintaining that communist dictatorship is a 'conservative' because he 'conserves it.'

These people are empowered only because our hard-earned money is funneled to them in the form of taxes. Corrupt politicians and Marxist universities need our -- again, our -- funds in order to be consequential. If the forced shakedowns cease, so does their influence.

We're talking the conservative movement in the U.S., Zach. Keep your eye on the ball.

Liberals understand how to play "the game" far better than conservatives. They've laid the groundwork, sown the seeds, for decades. What we are seeing right now is liberals reaping what they have sowed - to their benefit - and conservatives reaping what they have (not) sown - to their loss.

Liberals play the long game. They play it really, really well.

I think conservatives need to do a Much better job of outreach and teaching to POC and left leaning demographics. When you lay out capitalism and the free market versus socialism on paper and explain why the former is better and why conservatism is needed to support capitalism we would win over a lot of them.

Instead we get too caught up with the mud throwing to have logical civil conversations on political ideology.
