FDR gets a pass cause they were under a depression, desperate and sick of Hoover. Many back then that it was shameful to get a gov. handout or a gov. job. Not so today. Obama times - People now are looking for entitlements and the cozy gov. job.

Up in open rebellion? If someone like mamdani actually “won” an election in America it would be hard for to stomach and not take up arms.

Depends upon what they are able to actually do.

what part of him literally being the most divisive President in our history and was instrumental in starting all the race card victim bs.......AND, he is literally the reason that our Insurance Rates have tripled, or worse, over the last 10-15 years.....with the hard working picking up the tab for the welfare abusers (his people).

the fact that even the people on the right in America seem to think fdr and Obama are in the same universe of crazy as mamdani says a lot about our knowledge of history in this country.

They said that about Trump. They are laughing at your comment the same way we laughed at theirs.

Won't happen.

Insidious trickle, normalized by time and circumstance wins hands down.

Mamdani is too in your face.

Maybe bone up on your own education. FDR has been idolized by the likes of AOC and mamdani for almost 100 years and government took over more sectors of society under him than mamdani could ever dream of capturing.

FDR socialized a lot of institutions and created lots of welfare programs but he never tried to abolish the police, abolish prisons, or nationalize the entire nations private sector.

Is there an actual communist in America? I haven’t seen any in national politics.

Would you not consider Mandami a communist? Being Mayor of US's largest city kinda puts him onn a national scale.

Like saying we don't have any KKK members or white supremists in national politics. Well we did, but he dropped out of the Maine democrat senate race last month.

That's a serious gloss over for the most socialist, transformative era in American history.

He was also president of the United States, not some fgt mayor of a dying city. And unlike banning police, which will never happen, FDR's policies were all implemented.

That was simply a sign of the times. Obama in 2026 would be much further left

Trump, with his staggering manipulation and control of our entire economic system, is closer to actual communism than anyone.

You have no idea what communism actually is do you? I would suspect you've never visited a communist country either.

Some folks should post less.
