Indeed.

My friends entire family was murdered by Idi Amin.

He was a Muslim dictator that was a horrible human being.

He wasn’t based.

He was brutal.

Was that because he kicked out the Indians?

The economic disaster that resulted from the expulsions played a key role in the populace turning against Amin.

They were really never “with” him.

If it weren’t for the Tanzanian military marching into Kampala, Amin would have probably stayed in office for another decade (or two).

Much like Pol Pot invading Vietnam, Amin chose poorly invading Tanzania.

No it didnt.

Ugandan natives, much like most of subsahara Africa, have a culture of subsistence farming and living off the land. Thats how they prefer to live...they were not getting any economic benefits from Indians running things and their way of life did not change when the economy collapsed...only the Indians were benefitting.

Some other poster in this thread said that the Indians were like 90% of the tax base. You think its a good thing for your people to have the majority of its country's economic power tied to a tiny racial minority with a different culture than yours? Lol fack no. Those jeets had to go

It is fair to ask whether the Ugandan people were ever "behind" Amin.

He seized power in a coup d'etat, and the army that kept him in power was basically a mercenary force recruited from among his fellow Muslims in neighboring countries (Uganda is only 13% Muslim). His preferential treatment of Muslims was a major source of the internal strife that eventually led to the war with Tanzania ... which in turn led to his ouster.

But Indophobia was widespread in Uganda long before Amin seized power, due to British policies which had favored ethnic Indians over ethnic Africans in almost every way.

I'm not sure about that, but this board wants Trump to be Pinochet.

I would think even the economic zone bros would get behind this, only Columbia during the same period had similar GDP.

Ill be honest, I couldn't give a single f*ck about any other thing he did. This thread is only about the excellent decision to kick out them damn jeets. If you want to argue about any other thing he did besides that, go right ahead. I dont care

shite post like this are why the GOP will get their asses handed to them in the coming few elections.

America hated woke fascism....that doesn't mean they want a does of old school fascism instead.

All the GOP have to do to win is be normal, act like morals and ethics matter and hammer the left over and over again when they act up and show us they are radical POS leftwing extremist.

We lose when we think their extremism is a green light for our own.
