Waze is not an app designed and meant to tell people the locations of police. It is an app designed and meant to help people get to their desired location as fast as possible.
In its functionality it permits users to share location of LEO.

Obstruction of Justice is just that. Waze an ice cream cone you're trying to compare your apple to.
I'm explaining why neither are obstruction my dude, and both are protected by the 1st Amendment.

What's the relevant distinction for the 1st Amendment?
Here you go.. You have the logic and reasoning of a six-year-old child.
quote:
Obstruction of justice: Actions that hinder or interfere with law enforcement investigations, such as warning potential suspects, can be considered obstruction of justice, a serious crime.

Again.
An app designed for the explicit purpose of getting you to your destination the quickest.
An app designed to give you the location of federal agents.
They.
Are.
Not.
The.
Same.

Not sure how stupid someone can be... then I read this.
Did you know that law enforcement usually publishes the locations of DUI checkpoints before they perform them? Is law enforcement stupid, too?

It is an app that is meant to allow you to avoid speed traps, insurance checkpoints and dui checkpoints. If you're driving without insurance or while drunk, it's an app that allows you to avoid getting caught
SCOTUS has actually ruled on this and said the government was at fault for not publishing the information themselves.
They could certainly walk that back but as it stands now precedent leans towards it's legal

I bet the developer is also hoping for attacks on ICE agents as well. An unstated but desirable outcome. Kinda like what Mamdani isn’t explicitly saying with his positions.

They should have something like this but for another group and you could do an alert before you go to a restaurant or the movies
Or an alert when an old people function gets out and they will all be on the roads.

There is a bit of particularity in the warning referenced, which is not applicable to this app.

publishing the location of law enforcement isn't blocking anything. It's the same as publishing the location of a DUI checkpoint.
Except one protects innocent people from overzealous politicized law enforcement and the other protects the public from dangerous lawbreakers

Well why not post it?
Naw frick that just make the claim.

No. It’s an app meant to give you the quickest way to your designated location.

Wait, are we talking about DUI checkpoints or ICE activities?
