The stupid part is that Turkey in the Straw has jack shite to do with racism.
It's just that at some point after that melody was created, OTHER people sang some racist lyrics to the same melody.
I guess this means that if I put together some racist lyrics to an Snoop Dog rap song and somehow, thousands of people on the net start "liking" it, that 10 years from now, we can ban the use of the Snoops song/melody

Well they aren’t wrong in its history but that’s not what the jingle means anymore. We need more of this.... taking previously horrible things and remaking them to have new positive meanings. Same logic goes with Confederate statues being a reminder of our past.
