I can't find the article right now but what I recall was
She came here as a child and supposedly was protected by DACA. She and the brother were living together, engaged, owned a condo together, and had the kid. They had been together for 10 years. Brother won $1 million in some Draft Kings contest, got custody, and left.

TLDR;
Leavitt's brother knocked up some chiquita 11 years ago and is raising the boy with his wife (not chiquita). Chiquita doesn't have custody of the boy and never has.
