Bro, I think you’re approaching the post very literally, whereas it seems to me that poster didn’t necessarily mean it in that strict a sense. I perceive that it was meant more as an idiom. Like when two people are engaged in some sort of competition, one has a clear upper hand and says to the other “I own you, punk.” Needless to say, the person doesn’t mean that he has title to the other person in his possession.
