Exactly. We are in full control of the strait
We are im full control of Venezuela
We own that oil. And we didnt need any boots on the ground but 20 Delta guys for 3mins
None of them can give credit to the guy for the move hes pulled off. When we take Cuba and get the Canal back cause Chyna has been squeezed and no choice but to make the deal we will be in full control
Exit Nato and get a good relantionship with Russia would be the cherry

I think you’re approaching the post very literally, whereas it seems to me that poster didn’t necessarily mean it in that strict a sense. I perceive that it was meant more as an idiom. Like when two people are engaged in some sort of competition, one has a clear upper hand and says to the other “I own you, punk.”
I’d buy that…if he says so.
ETA: I see that SDV confirmed that meaning. Fine.

I think with MBS wanting to become a Dubai, and Isreal making Gaza into a new Dubai they want the tourism. A peaceful ME is the only way

What have we defeated? No one ever touted their shitty conventional military as anything significant.
The only thing we have done that I know of is kill old men, break replaceable stuff, and negotiate the opening of a passage that was already open before the conflict started.
Seriously, what am I missing? Sorry, but I’m not buying “destroying Iran’s navy” as a worthwhile cause.

We own the oil. You will be able tl replace Venezuela with Iran shortly
The bolded part remind you of anything thats happened the past week
quote:
U.S. asserts significant control over Venezuela following the capture of Nicolás Maduro, utilizing a combination of military presence, direct control over oil revenue, and strategic management of interim leadership. The U.S. has instituted oversight of Venezuela’s oil sales, directing proceeds to specific accounts, while encouraging U.S. companies like Chevron to re-enter and expand operations to secure resources, in a shift aimed at reshaping Venezuela's economic and political landscape.
Political/Military Control: Following the capture of Maduro, the U.S.backed the inauguration of interim President Delcy Rodríguez, while declaring the U.S. would oversee the country to ensure a "proper" transition. A U.S. naval blockade remains in place to control maritime oil movement, with threats of continued military action.
Oil and Economic Control: The U.S. has mandated that earnings from Venezuelan oil sales be channeled through U.S.-supervised accounts, directly managing revenues rather than letting them pass through previous channels.
Trade Realignment: The U.S. has actively worked to reorder trade, specifically to replace prior buyers like Russia and China, and has authorized U.S. oil majors to re-enter the country and increase production.
This intervention aims to secure a favorable economic framework and bring Venezuela's resources under western influence while attempting a transition away from the former regime.

Not a melt. I’m asking what we accomplished that was worth doing anything at all.
Said another way—what has changed for the better?

Agreed. Pretty “unfortunate” post, no doubt. You could rather easily put together a montage of similar posts that would leave you with the conclusion that there is no group or organization or army or particular leader that exists throughout the entire world worse than President Trump and the U.S. military while under his leadership as Commander in Chief. It’s unreal.

Shouldn’t be hard to list something. Anything.

Like I said you are a waste of time

Accomplishments of this little adventure that I’m supposed to see as a necessary W. Things we definitely needed to do.
Posted on 4/17/26 at 9:50 pm to Indefatigable
You’ve heard and read many things “listed.” You mean to tell me you’ve gone this entire time and haven’t heard or read any argued justifications for this military action?
