Trump wasn't concerned because he, like every sane person, knows that the Russians had nothing to do with the election results. Even the fricking Obama intel people have said this repeatedly. James Clapper said he saw no evidence votes were changed. Mike Rogers said the same. Comey even said it.
Newsflash: Russia hacks computers and they've been doing it for years. Some of the most sophisticated cyber crime networks are in Russia. This was known well before the 2016 election. It's not new, so I wish you would stop pretending that it is. Moreover, what did Obama do to stop it? He didn't seem the least bit concerned either.
No one likes being hacked and I wish there was a computer God that would descend from the heavens and tell us all the secret of having 100% secure computer networks. Sadly it is just not possible with today's technology and with all the flaws in operating systems, software and the Internet protocol itself. If they want in, a well funded dedicated group will get in. This is why organizations like the DNC need to stop putting sensitive information on crappy Windows machines connected to the Internet. Put that shite in filing cabinets or something.
Also high value targets (like politicians) should start encrypting their e-mail. All the hacking in the world won't matter if the hackers only get a string of hexidecimal characters they can't decode. I am shocked that people like Hillary and Podesta aren't aware of the value of secure e-mail. It goes to show you how lazy people are, even those who have access to state secrets and should know better.

Not a chance.
They focus on one narrow element of correlation and refuse to see the whole picture. They attempt to paint President Trump as a nefarious figure (a Russian puppet) but refuse to acknowledge a horrible candidate and a simmering feud. It was a combination of events. No one walks away from this clean.
And on a side note, I am going to have to ask for some overtime from last night. That young one would not stop. Took me until almost 2:00 am EST to finally finish it off with him.

You and Comey can keep melting together

I don't necessarily disagree, but they aren't going to stop just because we do, especially if we're talking about Russia. That time has passed.
We're maxed out on OT hours, but you're definitely on the short list for a nice bonus.

It’s worth noting that there is unanimity among senior intelligence officials that the Russian interference in our election not only happened, but that it was extraordinary and unprecedented. In previous testimony, Comey described Russia as the “greatest threat of any country on earth,” and he warned Thursday that Russia is “coming after America,” regardless of party, “to undermine our credibility in the rest of the wor
Ironically, the Democrats are the ones helping Russia the most. They are feeding into the "Russian under every bed" narrative and the Russians are sitting in Moscow laughing their asses off. This is exactly what Russia wants, but the dems are too stupid and blinded by hatred to realize it.
By the way, the "dossier" was a Russian creation. You know that right? Their goal was to dig up dirt on both candidates (even if fake dirt) and spread it as much as possible. And the dems fell for that one too. Dumb (or sick) people!

This is nothing but a personal vendetta between Putin and Hillary. She screwed with the Russian elections and failed and he returned the favor successfully and she/DNC is trying to save face and blame it on Trump. Trump was probably told to bet the bank on a 2016 presidency if Hillary ran and he did. We only see what they want us to see. Both sides know exactly what went down but can't make the reveal because it would mess up future endeavors.

quote:Seriously, this. If we were honest, Putin made a concerted effort to payback the Obama administration in a general sense and Hillary Clinton on a personal level. And how the DNC thought she was a good choice (and subverted their own process to achieve that effect) is beyond me. And then they turn around and say "Muh, Russians" is beyond maddening. The incredible level of stupidity from the Left regarding this issue is just amazing.

I don't buy it. While Putin may not like Hillary, I don't think he gives a shite who is president here. His goal was to simply sew discord in our process and he succeeded "beyond his wildest dreams" (to quote James Clapper).
Russia was behind the Trump dossier, so it seems unlikely that Putin was "rooting" for Trump. No, he just wanted to make them both look like clowns. He wanted to expose Trump as a golden showers fan and he wanted to expose Hillary by hacking the DNC and Podesta. Interestingly, he didn't have to make anything up about Hillary -- he just had to expose real e-mails.
I've said it for months now: Russia did hack, but their goal was to destroy WHOEVER won the presidency. And they knew they could count on the MSM to help a LOT if Trump did in fact win. Trump did win, much to their surprise, and they are ecstatic -- not because Trump is their stooge but because he is so polarizing and hated by the elite media. It has caused chaos in the country and Putin is sitting back laughing.

The unbelievable level of gullibility of thinking any country would just "mind their own business" if they were left alone. The kicker is thinking Bernie is something more than a stuck in the past leftist hypocrite.

There was far more egregious tampering by the DNC against Bernie than anything the Russians are accused of doing.

He was absolutely sowing discord in our process. But this was very personal. And I would agree, the DNC gave them all the ammunition they needed. Hopefully this resets our entire election process. No more "their turn" candidates. And possibly the rise of a viable third party.
