No, that’s not how it happened. We rarely hired someone from overseas and brought them to the US on an H1B. We hired people who were already here (often being exploited and illegally underpaid). We would switch sponsorship of the H1B.

Every manager in an energy sector engineering company will tell you the same exact story I am telling you. We fought like dogs, over a scrap of meat, for capable engineers OF ANY NATIONALITY. And we weren’t picky about “meeting all of the requirements”; we heavily emphasized enthusiasm and personality, often repurposing engineers from other industries.

I am still affiliated with the company enough to know that little has changed. It’s a sellers’ market. We are not picking and choosing among qualified employees; we are begging and seducing them. And jobs are going unfilled.

I was echoing Vivek's sentiment when I was a kid in the 90s. Other kids' heroes were usually athletes. Mine was people like bill gates, intelligent people who made it rich in science and technology. You'll have to forgive me for i was a youngun and unaware of the NWO and gates' plans.

Even at that young age, I knew Vivek's opinion was not wrong. Our pop culture has never valued intelligence over looks or physical feats. No one knew who the kids were that went to academic competitions and brought home trophies. But we had a pep rally every week so we could recognize the football players who never cracked .500.

This may upset people, but it's the truth and should be easy to see. However, there are still plenty of intelligent kids here, so we do not need foreigners. We just need to stop letting our schools act as indoctrination centers and get back to actual education.

Bringing in foreigners while you allow the DOE to destroy our own children's education is not America First. We need a change in culture, and that starts with getting leftists out of the schools. Pop culture will always be shallow, but we can create the proper culture within our educational institutions.
