Trump continues to say that he declassified them.
Nothing Trump says out loud or on social media matters in this context.
He has yet to make that representation to the court, which is telling. If he thought he declassified them, his court filings would reflect that belief.

Explain to us why you think that's "telling."

FWIW I absolutely think he will be indicted. It will be a pure unadulterated horseshite indictment but its going to happen.

Because if they believed that the documents in question were declassified, it would be mentioned in this case—be it the current special master issue or those concerning the previously sealed warrant, etc.
There would be no reason not to assert it clearly and prominently in every filing. Why aren’t they (the lawyers) waving it in the DOJ’s face at every turn? Remember that nothing anyone says on social media or to reporters matters whatsoever.
That they have not done so tells me, at the very least, that Trump’s team considers the issue of declassification unsettled (at best) or unfavorable (at worst).

Why'd you leave out immaterial?

The crooked political hacks of the FBI and DOJ can probably bet a dem grand jury to indict Trump on any BS they cook up.
It won't stop him from running and this time he will rain holy hell down upon the swampers, crooked FBI and DOJ hacks.

Sure they have thought they had Trump before, but this time is different.
Its exactly the same. In fact, its shockingly similar.

That happens every single time, bro.

The pivot to obstruction should tell you EVERYTHING you need to know about this "investigation". They have nothing, so they will baselessly accuse him of "smuggling" out the alleged evidence merely because it wasnt there. Its obvious.

What do you mean?
It’s technically immaterial vis a vis the special master issue, sure.
But there is no reason to leave it out of their factual summaries that are in every filing, or why they wouldn’t have brought it up when they wanted to see the unredacted affidavit.
If Trump’s legal team has a reasonable belief (or even better, proof) that the documents in question were declassified prior to Trump leaving office, and they have not presented that to the court, Trump should fire them all and sue them for malpractice.

You're not thinking hard enough. That's not surprising based on what I've seen in your posts.

Then just lay out what the long game is. You clearly have your own thoughts, just type them.
Tell me what I’m missing.

That's not blood in the water, it's sewer shite from the swamp.

Didn’t Trump say he wants the boxes of documents returned?
It sounds to me like the new argument Trump is making is that they are his property and not the property of the US Govt.

The issue of whether anyone else might think a document is classified or not is immaterial as to whether a president can possess such a document (or in this case a former president with such a document created during the term of his administration).

Presidential libraries are full of formerly classified documents.

You have no idea why they are not making that claim at this point. The fact that they haven't isn't proof that they won't or can't.

If they have something, they're certainly taking their time about impeaching him.

You democrats really do believe your own shite you shovel don’t you? It’s almost 2023 and the democrats can’t get shite done. The only thing they want to do STILL is go after Trump. It doesn’t take a genius to know why. It’s fear plain and simple. They are terrified to have to run against him because they have no one to put against him. Biden belongs in a nursing home and Kamala shouldn’t even be an assistant manager at McDonalds. How about try to do something to benefit the country? No? It’s easier to just tell it’s all Trump’s fault isn’t it? It will be 2046 and Trump will have been dead for years but still it will all be Trump’s fault to the liberals.

The documents in question are alleged to be the Crossfire Hurricane investigation documents. Seeing as I've heard several pundits mention that it is indeed these documents, that leads me to believe someone has asked someone with direct knowledge on Trump's side and gotten confirmation.
Trump wrote the Memorandum that declassified it and removed any redactions, not protected by FISA, in that memo on January 19, 2021 while he was still POTUS. He had 100% verified legal authority, did it, and it happened.
But since these declassified documents are now part of an investigation, guess what? They are now protected. Now who does that convivence the most?
Answer: The people who's names were redacted as being involved in an illegal made up investigation against a political rival and future President.
