I think Harris’ instant call for a 2nd debate isn’t promising for her

I truly believe if they think if she performed well enough they wouldn’t have her debate again.

They’ve done everything they can to keep her away from the cameras when they think she’s doing well.

That and they rushed out with the Taylor Swift endorsement instead of saving that for a better time. Make me think they don't think she moved the needle much.

Both this and the Taylor thing are very puzzling to me. Who knows what their internal polling is telling them.

She called for another one? Well prepare yourself. It’s never going to happen. Maybe if NBC or CBS has it but that’s all.

She's calling for another debate, but IMHO it will NOT happen.

Biden 2024 style debate performance by Trump would have been the only thing that moved the needle.

Trump did OK, he was winning before this & will still be ahead after tonight.

I disagree. She won tonight. Yeah, it was 3 on 1 but he was all over the place and low on specifics. She was annoying as hell but she likely gained voters tonight, and with another debate that will go pretty much the same, they think they can at least get to 50/50.

They are feeling better tonight, and they should. Trump is terrible at this, and I was praying he would keep it together.

She was given plenty of handicaps and still didn't win.

Exactly. They would have taken this polling bump if they thought they'd get one then drop the Taylor Swift endorsement a couple of weeks from now. You don't drop two huge moments for your campaign at the same time.

She should have taken the walk off. She'll never do better than tonight.

Regardless of whether you think she won, why do they come out with this instantly after and like Seldom said, the Taylor Swift endorsement?

That’s something that is usually saved.

If you truly wrecked your opponent, you want the news cycle to stay on that for as long as possible. You don’t want to change the subject.

Go look at what is trending on X, harris is no even on the list. Trump is the conversation. She did nothing to set herself apart and they have a massive bot engine on X for harris.

She won that debate.

I expect the downvotes, but she did win it.

I think they believe she had a good win and are calling for another debate and dropping the Tswift deal because they are desperate for momentum. She's way behind and they have to capitalize when they can.

To capitalize on perceived momentum.

If you are down in a football game by multiple scores then suddenly get a turnover, you’re going to air it out, be in 4 down territory the whole drive in order to capitalize on momentum and get back in the game.

That’s where they are right now.
