I highly doubt the students were in real danger from the teacher. The students will do anything to get the teacher reprimanded in this case. Stupid kids and their “First Amendment Rights.” They have no idea.

Link is to a KFOR News Channel 4 (OKC) story.

I’m with the teacher . Good for her , and you can see why these kids think this way it is because their POS mother allows it

I am against the ACLU because they never seem to care about any rights of conservatives, only liberals.

I lost all respect for the ACLU when they put out a statement saying vaccine mandates further civil liberties.

Momma Nose Ring's reasoning rings incredibly hollow. A teacher told at least one of her kids to stand for the anthem and apparently (according to the mother's words) her kids got loud.

Sorry, getting all loud and dramatic at a teacher may have worked at your old school but when school administration and teaching staff actually give a damn about teaching they will nip that shite in the bud with the quickness. The only problem here is we don't see more of this low/no tolerance for behavior like this.

Let a kid "mis-gender" another or take a bite or two out of a Pop-Tart so that it looks sort of like a gun though and most schools lose their shite.

LMAO. They are only interested in what started the incident, not what the students did as the incident progressed.

You DO NOT get arrested and suspended for 30 days for not standing for the National Anthem OR simply getting loud with a teacher. I am certain there was a "I'll kick yo arse bish" in there in the least.

It's poorly cobbled "journalism" in that facts are thoroughly elusive. e.g., an omnipresent chyron asserts the girls were arrested at school. The school spokesperson say no one was arrested at school. The "journalist" makes no effort to clarify. So the viewer is left to guess.

It’s unfortunate but one of the reasons for this is because rural school districts and poor urban school systems have gotten themselves in such a financial dumpster fire that they’re relying on MFP funds (that’s what they’re called in Louisiana anyway), money from the state given based on a per student basis that normally would go to buying new text books, lab equipment, laptops, etc, to help cover payroll. They can’t afford to have many kids suspended long term or expelled if it comes around the time for the semester count.

I witnessed it when I was helping coach at my old high school a few years back. Students that were long passed the amount of state write-ups, in school suspensions (what we used to call detention, though I think now they refer to it as alternative school), and one day out of school suspensions they could have before they got expelled getting just another slap on the wrist and the school administration being told from the central office they didn’t think expulsion was the best idea.

And doesn’t take high school aged kids that want to cause trouble long to realize that the school’s hands are tied.

The ACLU's position seems to be that the teacher interfering with the student(s) started the incident.

Not standing for the anthem was the incident, intended to inflame and provoke a reaction (otherwise, why do it?). The student is the one who incited this interaction, not the teacher.

They don't care that the girls acted poorly resulting in their arrest. They only fricking care that the teacher asked them to stand.

This country is lost.

ACLU

"We're trying to determine what caused the altercation"

you know on one hand, is it government tyranny to make students stand?

they make the wear masks
they want everyone vaccinated

I get upset so many students don't respect the flag

at the end of the day, do you make them?

what I think happened is the "children"...got ugly with the teacher because let's face it many black children will not tolerated being confronted and told what to do

Pride is ugly and it always comes before the fall

That’s not by accident. Not entirely.

Sure, journalism is ridiculously sloppy and just bad, but the manipulation and obfuscation of facts is totally intentional.

Also, it is because conservatives take care of their own issues....we don't need an organization to fight our battles for us!

I don't. You can't pick and choose which freedoms to support.

You can't support vaccine choice and not the choice to stand.

DEMLIBS are notorious for choosing what they want to support, and it ALWAYS favors the LEFT side.

Democrats never do what is good for the entire country!

well...you know that requiring students to be quiet and pay attention in class is white supremacy, so, yeah.
