Well, I’m officially out of the pop culture loop bc I have no idea who that is...
Ever watched An Idiot Abroad? If not, check it out.

So you’re Tom Hanks’ TD alias?

That's the look of "well now I don't know what the hell to say if I get an award".
Because Tom Hanks has a history of doing that?

I'm starting to think Phoenix wasn't acting too much.

You should watch Phoenix's previous movie You Were Never Really Here.
He plays a hitman who kills pedos with a fricking hammer. It's dark, it's disturbing. He certainly has a lot to say about the Hollywood culture. How about his role in The Master where they go after L. Ron Hubbard. Gee, what happened shortly after Philip Seymour Hoffman played that role? It wasn't the kindest of interpretations and the guy was dead within the year.

Ricky Gervais isn't the hero we want.
He's the hero we need.
He's the hero we need.

And I thought Dave Chappelle is the last real comedian until I saw that.
Chapelle, Bill Burr, and Gervais are three stalwart anti-PC heroes.

Would have loved to have seen Robert Diniros face when the political opinion joke was said.

This his his fifth time hosting. Go on YouTube and watch the compilations from the prior times he's hosted. It's worth watching each one all the way through. He never stops through the whole show, and he rips people the entire time, including the Hollywood Foreign Press. They're all gold.
This year beats the hell out of the rest of them, though.
Thanks for sharing. I caught the early posts but hadn't seen his entire monologue. Very nice.

He pulled an entire state of Iowa's worth of corn cobs out of those tight asses with no anesthesia whatsoever.
