Thought about him when the Raid happened on MAL.

Would have loved to hear RUSH talk about this and give us the big picture.

Nobody is as good as he was.

RIP RUSH.

nobody holds a candle to him. He had a great mix of intellect and entertainment.
The big guys in talk radio are great in only a couple of things.
Levin is great on the legal front and laying out the plans of the left and what the right need to do.
Dennis Prager is great intellectually and on social issues.
Bongino is good at political issues but I don't get near as much from him as I did Rush and he isn't as entertaining personally.

I miss him everyday. There won't be another one like him for a long time. Generational talent.

Rush’s generation was 3 generations ago, which if the above is true means there should be 3 more out there somewhere.

The swampiest of swamp creatures. His ratings driven support for Trump doesn't change that.

This country misses Rush. I miss Rush. Clay and Buck- I’m good. Michael Berry is about the only one I listen to. I don’t listen as much to any of them anymore. They all basically repeat the same news that I’ve already seen on TD anyway.

Michael Berry is too arrogant and tries too hard to be a good old boy. He and Chuck Knipp (aka Shirley Q. Liquor) know each other pretty well (both from Orange), and Chuck has posted some scathing emails he'd received from Michael - they basically hate each other, and Chuck has more or less said plainly that Michael is in the closet like a prom dress.

I like Jesse Kelly a lot, but unfortunately, Michael is his mentor, and he gets some of that Michael Berry arrogance on him from time to time. If he can shed that and stop talking down to his audience and trying to be a phone Nazi, he could really do well.

I've wondered where and how he would have dealt with the 'steal'. Given the power of his public voice, the Left would have had to deal with him if he told the whole truth straight up. Which when challenged, he would have. Maybe that's why the Good Lord called him in.

Yes, Bongino Report has completely replaced Drudge the Sellout for me.

Yeah - me too - I still sometimes get an empty feeling around 11am => something missing.

Michael Barry is a good talker, and seems quite knowledgeable. He wastes too much time with playing musical tributes and talking about stuff I am not interested in.

Rush made everything relatable.

He's smart but he needs to quit a few things:
1. Talking down to his audience, like "We need to have an uncomfortable conversation"
2. Wordplay like "Let's unpack this", "Just let that wash over you", etc. It's too gay.
3. Playing the same shitty music over and over, mostly on Fridays. I got to where I'd turn it off every Friday morning when that stupid-arse country rap song starts and switch to Walton & Johnson. Then I realized I liked W&J more, so I listen to them a couple of hours each day M-F, and don't bother catching MB evening show anymore.

In MB's defense, it's hard to do a good show 5h/d every day. If he could tighten his show and stop being the radio equivalent of Florida-Georgia Line, he'd be much better. But he has that redneck (the only authentic redneck quality) habit of thinking "Well I'm doing well, so I must be doing something right" with the implication being that any criticism is beneath him. Sadly Jesse Kelly has picked this up from him. I wish they would both take it up a notch, as their talents are being partially wasted.

Agreed. He was the no-brainer replacement for Rush. Great mix of analysis and entertainment.

RIP Rush. We sure could use you right now.
