from the democrats to vote for John Bel. The only thing, is they sent both messages to me his father by mistake. We don't share the same first name. Is this a mistake? I am not laughing.

Man, I don't even have the words...

And I would be livid. I don't want to speculate on what the situation really sounds like, but something seems fishy...

Thanks guys but this is not about that. I am a Christian and have peace with what happened. But the only 2 people who shared that name is my son and my first cousin. Both are with the Lord. I have 0 faith left in our voting system. But I do have 100% faith in our Lord and Savior. They sent me something in the mail saying that people over 65 could be sent a ballot and vote at home. What could possibly go wrong with this ? This was actually sent to me. Are they signing up everyone in prison and turning in their votes? People should report any and every wrong doing they see.

I'm guessing they are using credit agency records. My report still shows when I lived with my parents decades ago. They are probably sending the message to every address/phone number associated with your son. They have no decency. They don't care if the records are accurate. They don't care if the voter is deceased.

Sorry for your loss. No parent should have to outlive their child. That doesn't mean anything to politicians, though.

If I were you, I’d check to see if your son is somehow registered to vote. If he is, you need to immediately take steps to have him removed from voting rolls. You don’t want someone voting in his place which sounds like what might be happening.

Sorry for your loss.

Sounds like they want you to vote in his place. Democrats being Democrats I guess...they don't care where the vote comes from.

I live out of state now but that doesn't stop LA politicals from flooding my out of state PO box with local election ads.

Sorry for your son, that's gotta be rough. I would look into this a little closer..

I think you should look into this a little closer. I think there is a good chance that somebody is using your son's Identity.

They have been champions of voter fraud for decades.

I wonder if you responded using you son’s name would they send you a ballot?

Sorry for your loss....but it’s really odd that you are getting election texts now. His name should have long since been purged from voter rolls.

I would talk to the registrar to see if your son is still on the roll. If he hasn’t been purged because he’s been casting votes, it may be worth bringing up to the media.

This is unfortunately not uncommon in local races in Louisiana. I am aware of at least two small tow elections where this sort of thing happened. Unsure about statewide elections.

I'm sorry for your loss, but this is not likely something sinister.

Your sons name is just in a database that the campaign purchased or obtained through a public records request.

If you are concerned about voter fraud you can go to the Louisiana Secretary of States website and look him up through the voter portal and determine if he is still registered.

I don’t know whether to upvote this as a gesture of support, downvote it because I feel so bad for you about this or find you IRL and hug you.

So sorry to hear this.

Secretary of State website

You can go here to see if he's registered, and if so cancel his registration.
