Bill has always been an absolutely raging libtard. What you're seeing now, is Maher appearing to be a "moderate" because the Overton Window has shifted to the extreme left in the last 30 years.
When he first emerged on the political scene in the 90s when he had "Politically Incorrect" on HBO, he had the same stances he has today, but they were shared by the DNC at the time and he NEVER crapped on them while he spent entire shows douching all over Republicans like Newt Gingrich.
I remember it because I was a Democrat back then and I watched Maher often. The difference between Maher and I is that the leftward lunge of politics actually pushed me pretty far to the political and social right, because they've just gone off the rails. Maher is still right where he was in the 90s and would happily return to that. And for that matter on my part, I'd welcome a return to 90s-era politics too.

It would be nice to see more Democrats become like Bill Maher and declare that their party has gone too far over the edge. And he is 100% correct.
I'll never understand how Democrats from the Carter era still vote for this party. At some point, too far is too far.

Yeah, he's a great guy. I remember like yesterday when he was hoping for an economic collapse just so it would hurt Trump. He flat out said it. One of the best economies in our history and he wanted it destroyed bc of TDS. Then, when we got Covid, he celebrated because he got what he wanted.

I’m wondering if he isn’t pushing back on the hatred of Jews in the world and most recently by the democrat extreme Muslim politicians. He seems to be a huge atheist.

You just made that up. He has consistently said he only got the vax so he could participate in society in LA. Never once said “get the vax or die.”
