He was both senile and recognizable. His senility is what made him the perfect candidate to fall on his sword for the ridiculous causes the left supports. They knew that whoever pushed them would be wildly unpopular. Joe doesn’t even remember how bad he has screwed things up. Poor stupid will go to his grave thinking he did right by the people.

I think the cabal did it as a show of power. You take a guy who has multiple failed runs at the office, a vp candidate who withdrew because she had 0 votes, and give them the most votes ever? It tells the world that they are in control.
I also agree that Joe is a perfect empty suit- he’s senile so he’s both easy to control AND easy to blame when things go sideways. I honestly think that Harris was the backup plan. I think that they gave her a tryout on the big stage, and she failed miserably. Thus, we have the status quo.

I've get a lot of international news channels on DirecTV and started watching a year ago. They are not afraid to come out and say 'He's senile and has no clue what he's doing.'
But it's a mix of mockery and abject fear. They are scared to death of what he might do as head of the world's superpower.

Go deeper, and the reality is, they cheated so they could have obama's third term.
The policies are a continuation of what obama started [with his mentors VJ and Rice].
