We should have waited until they nuked us. That seems to be the sentiment on here because we should never fight another war because Bush and Biden fricked up.

I hate war. It is a horrible choice. But sometimes evil must be confronted before it gets too strong. Iran is proving its evil intent by lashing out at everyone, attacking civilians and water plants. Should we have waited for them to get more missiles? Better defenses? 5th generation fighters?

But no. Our board geniuses know better than the President. This has been going on for 47 years. They have tried to assassinate the President. They killed our troops in the Middle East. So they have been at war with us. We have finallly responded.

Trump was radioactive on the DC elite right until early 2024. He 100% made deals with the right people.

What's so funny? You don't see how geopolitically, Iran, is a major player in the global economy? Busting up BRICS is a goal of the US. As it should be.

Let's put it this way. Taking out Iran is more than just a move against Iran. It's a move that shows dominance to the other nations aligned against us.

Consult the wisdom of Pete Townshend.

That's because the neocons are direct literal descendants of the Bolsheviks

they are not conservatives

they are Democrats who have infiltrated the Republican party, and this forum is too stupid to come to terms with it

Thinking BRICS is a concern, let alone one worthy of a war with Iran

In economic terms? They aren't

Iran has been needing to be sorted out for a long time now. It's really pretty simple, you don't get to attack Americans and American interest for 50 years unchecked. You can't allow a nation that sponsors terrorism around the world to develop nuclear weapons. And when a country slaughters 35,000 of its own citizens for protesting someone needs to step in and do something about it.

This is part of it and I agree.

This is all about tightening the noose on China though, which I’m ok with.

Then, why would this war be responsible for a downturn in the economy? I mean, if we annihilated Sudan, would you be concerned about the economy?

No.

You're only concerned because of the effect of global trade. Hence my point.

SFP is too stupid to understand that social collectivism is the same thing as economic collectivism.

Centralization of everything into one unit basically increases the strength of either of them.

Neocons will flat wreck your life if they want. They will spy on you. Raid your wife's underwear drawer. Accuse you of fake crimes. Economically isolate you. Just like the Bolsheviks. Neocons like SFP just call it "conservatism" bc reasons.

At the end of the day - they want a police state.

It could become extremely expensive and we have to print a lot of money

It could be. It could also be a huge benefit to us. Every war is a risk.

For the record, I hate war on the human level, but love it on the macro-economic level. If things play out the way I hope, (I really do hope) then it's a win/win for us and Iran.

Granted, a lot rides on the people of Iran wanting regime change. If collectively they side with the mullahs, then this will be at best a break-even war.

Me

How many have you voted for?

You're conflating authoritarian with Bolshevik

I'm the libertarian, mind you. You consistently vote for people who want bigger government.

How do you feel about libertarians? You know the people who opposed this Leviathan?

Amen. Wildly fluctuating ideological volatility is baked into the 2 party system. Yet while the two wings of the UniParty® argue each other on cable TV, the Deep State ever consolidates it’s power.
