They’ve never lived in a city with real crime. So they actually think they know what’s best for people that do and want Police Departments defunded.
Throw their butts in the hood of Shreveport or Baton Rouge for a week. I bet they’d start supporting Police and turn Red in a heartbeat.

I’m in Aspen and there are Biden signs everywhere. I have seen Trump signs, but only a couple. The wife asked why so many “rich” people vote Democrat, and the only thing I can honestly think is that these “rich” people have no idea what it is like to live as normal citizens. I can understand the people that are poor, and just want free shite because they honestly believe it will help them out. I can also understand the people that want free shite because they don’t want to work hard.
Do some of y’all believe it is fake virtue signaling by the “rich democrats” because they know that a Socialist government will broaden the gap between the rich and the middle class? Or are they just clueless?
The area where I live in both states are the same way even though one state is red and the other is blue. It’s weird. It’s also how they say Biden is way ahead amongst college educated people and Trump has the uneducated vote.

Do you have to be wealthy to live in Aspen? Is it some kind of city ordinance? It being a resort town most of the locals are probably living pretty modestly. The median household income is $72K and nearly 8% of the residents of Aspen lived below the poverty line.
As a city Aspen residents are far more likely to have a college education than the rest of Colorado and the nation so that's probably got a lot to do with the support for Democratic candidates and policies. Where poors definitely support Democrats the uneducated voter is the biggest base of support Trump has. Education is directly proportionate to income and unemployment so there's also that. Poors and people with an education vote democrat while rubes and the top 1% of the wealthy vote for Republicans. Thems the facts......

You haven't had any federal tax burden the last 3 or 4 years? In my experience I pay taxes every year whether there is a democrat in the Whitehouse or a republican.

The highest levels of the rich like the Dems because they figure the kleptocracy will steer money toward their businesses and policies while hurting their competitors.
Think the Obama years where Obama was picking winners and losers in numerous fields based on donations, from solar energy to guitars to cars.

These are the same people who believe that Trump is a Russian puppet and their is video of him getting pissed on by hookers. At the same time, believe that Hillary's deleted 33K emails, concerned yoga and grandchildren conversations and Bill's associations with Jeffrey Epstein were innocent. They also believe Gen. Flynn is guilty, and cannot understand why he would plead guilty, all the while, think Hunter Biden's business dealing were legit. These are also the people, who protest the building of a border wall, while living behind a wall with armed security. They search for a reason to exclude a minority from their neighborhood and country clubs, while telling you that you must have a certain percentage of minorities on your staff, regardless of qualifications or skill. In other words, they are hypocrites. I have run across a few, well-to-do leftists in my time. They simply refuse to think any other way. They detest guns, and think they are evil things that are only used by evil people. It is always the guns fault, and rarely the person who held it. Meanwhile, they are the only household in a neighborhood who does not possess multiple firearms. The same neighborhood where people rarely lock their doors. Not one incident involving a firearm in th 30 years they have lived there.

I've a very affluent friend who is voting Biden simply because he wants marijuana legalized. No regard for the massive hike in taxes he'll incur.
He also thinks Trump is a liar, but he's been real quiet on that particular issue with all these Hunter emails surfacing...

I am an architect that does affordable housing. Democratic leadership will make my firm owner a ton of money - which provides job security and raises.
It's actually in my economic best interest to go downticket Democrat.
Mind you, I have never done something like that in my life.

Talk about an area that should get zero government dollars........hud and their policies have destroyed the landscape of cities with their subsidized and free housing distorting the market.

Most DC area residents cannot afford the rent in the area due to low wages or dwindling retirement income. Housing prices have continually spiked, which helps the middle class but punishes the lower class.
This is a growing population in this country - so where do these people live? Tent cities like in SF?

I have to admit, I never understood Hollywood's fascination for the democrat party. These people are living in 10,000 sq feet mansions and have access to everything you would ever need. Also, these liberal network anchors making bank reporting the fake news. If you got money or fame, I don't see why you would want more government taxes in your life.

All you have to do is look at the media, 90% walk lockstep together. You want to move up? You will think the way I think! You have to remember that Marxism is not about freedom, it’s about compliance.
