Pecils and pens are why students fail tests too I guess.

Try again. People know there is a problem. It's mental health, especially among left wingers, not guns, which is an inanimate object

both 4th Amendment violations. Those are the only two options you think exist?

What problem is there, specifically? Please be detailed in your answer. And, if there is a problem, how would you address it? Again, please be specific.

If someone is flagged,

This is where the issue lies with ‘red flag’ laws. Taking guns or ankle bracelets or whatever are just ancillary

What determines a person being flagged? Who sets this? Will it be weaponized? False accusations from bitter exspouses? Can I call in one for my dickhead neighbor mowing his lawn too early?

BTW, I’m on Team Shall Not Be Infringed.

Let’s hope the infringing already taking place doesn’t get worse.

But if/when it does, hopefully something like my plan is put in place.

FWIW, Texas will be blue in a few election cycles. Consider the implications. Might want to think what can be done now, wirh what may be the last few years of chance to get a solution.

One side wants red flag laws that include the raids you mentioned. The other repeats "Shall not be infringed."

So your compromise is an ankle bracelet and the disappearance of any sort of privacy, therefore imposing on said person's liberty and stigmatizing his state of mental health without any due process.

Great idea.

Here's a solution that doesn't infringe on anyone's rights at all. If you get a credible theat that someone is going to do violence, detail someone from law enforcement to surveil that's person's movements. If they go out to start a mass shooting, stop them. Better use of police resources than handing out tickets for a broken tail light. Almost every one of these incidents there has been ample smoke, people calling police directly, and it's ignored.

How did the 4th help that dude in Maryland from the other thread? The dude killed while being served a red flag warrant.

That works in theory, but depends on a competent police office. See the Broward County office that ignored many calls on the Parkland shooter

Ironically, these same police forces are expected to act reasonably to request to remove guns on alerts and tips

If his estate sues, the 4th will be front and center. So because one police department ignored rights granted in the Constitution, we should concede our constitutional rights? That is some twisted logic.

They are called God-given rights because it takes a power higher than the government, monarchy, or dictator to protect it. A king issues it, a king takes it away. Thus they can never be taken or given away... even if you don't share the Christian faith.

Laugh away, because that too is a God-given right.

Violence, specifically in the poor black communities, and the ease of access in which an obviously deranged person can get their hands on a gun.

I think the 1st step would involve actually taking some of the anonymous tips seriously. Maybe not to the extent of immediately taking away someone's firearm but at least interview the person in question and keep tabs on them. fricking something to try to get that person help before they walk in to walmart with intentions to kill.

As far as the violence in inner cities go I have no idea. I believe it's gotten so bad in some areas that trying to help would only make the problem worse.

There is a problem

But the solution isn't putting tracking devices on random people over some suspicion

That is opening up a big can of worms

1- they are given a trackable ankle bracket,

Wonderful,,,,what is your address so we can send you the bill for all of this nonsense?
