When I fly I’d rather just read and keep to myself except in an unusual circumstance.where the person next to me is exceptionally interesting.

The people on the plane are super thankful.

Personally, I am completely uninterested in the politics of the people around me. I dont want to associate with people who make it a part of their personality, regardless of who they vote for.
The majority of my family are EXTREMELY conservative, and they're quiet about it both in person and online. If you engage them in political discourse, they will participate, but otherwise they keep to themselves about political and social issues. The minority Democrat faction are the ones in the family that wear their polititics like an ugly sweater. I mean that quite literally- these are the people that you KNOW how they voted just by their fashion choices and how they carry themselves and-if that wasn't already obvious enough- they cannot go even 5 minutes without bringing their political ideology into the discussion.
And I don't want to make it about religion, but the connection becomes impossible to ignore. The majority of the family that chooses to remain silent and keep the peace, they're devout Christians and prayer warriors. The liberal faction rejects church, rejects GOD and has substituted their Christian upbringing with Secular Progressive Cultism. Essentially, it has made them religious upjumped zealots, bowing to the golden idols of Marxism.

Liberal Whack-a-loon: "you pretend to have the moral high ground..."
Uh, no pretending necessary. We absolutely have the moral high ground.

The husband is nut less. If he had a pair he would have told her to shut the hell up.

So perfect how the husband just sits there silently, wearing matching haircut, matching glasses, matching sweater... The picture of White Liberal marital bliss.

Hometown being Portland is the cherry on top. LOL

That “man” is likely a tenured college professor or a government worker. Or a lawyer, but maybe not.
Imagine being delayed to your momma’s funeral because you dumb, count wife won’t STFU, and you don’t have the stones to tell her to STFU.

neither side has a monopoly on this. I am very conservative and voted trump (even though I dont agree with this board often). I have friends and coworkers that are liberal and conservative and they are both equally quiet about their beliefs. It comes up sometimes though not often. Conservatives are the only ones that wear hats and shirts for their guy though, ive noticed that. Id never do that no matter who the candidate.

Wearing a hat is fine. Getting in someone's face on a flight is not. Very simple.
