For the fun of it Google “the largest lynching in American history”. If you don’t know what it is you might be surprised.

And? Is there a point? Breaking the law worked out for you. Congrats.

I find it funny how Trump people downplay us nation’s immigration policies.

Where in our immigration policy does it allow for bum rushing the southern border?

Well, at the time, Italians weren’t known to be rapists, murderers or cartel members. Look at it this way, if your grandparents had come through the legal port of entry and applied for citizenship the right way, you wouldn’t have thought about what ifs. Be thankful they did it when they did. Times have changed and violence is nothing anyone wants. All people entering should be vetted extensively. If not, they must go back.

100 years ago was a world away.

The situation today is not the same and calls for rules that are not the same.

364 downvotes for a post is pretty impressive for a rookie. That might even be an OT 52 week high.

My nana and papa immigrated from Italy in the 1880s to New York

- they were in the census data of the 1910s as “illegal aliens” both were allowed to stay in the country and then eventually they were allowed to become US Citizens.

If we applied Stephen Miller’s logic to their case - they would have been deported immediately and there is a possibility of me not being born in America.
so you are against due process?

And you are leaving out one very very important fact, a relevant fact, those "illegal immigrants" crossed at a point of entry. Therefore they are not illegal immigrants, they are migrants seeking residency.

Countries full, due to your parties handling of immigration. You all ruined it for people who want to come to this country and better themselves the honest hardworking people that want to be American . Stephen Miller’s people did just that had an opportunity and took advantage of it .

The situation was markedly different in the 1880's than it is today. In the !800's through the early to mid 1900's the US needed mass immigration to develop the nation and the economy, that situation is 75 years in the rearview mirror baw. We're entering a period of AI, automation and robotics where the US is going to need less people working a 40-50 work week. Those in the US undocumented/illegally need to pack it up and head back to their country of origin and work on making their country of origin a better place to reside.
