Because I hold myself to a higher standard, this is some abstract or antiquated idea.

Time to fight fire with fire. Now’s not the time to be a Romney, McCain, Bush Republican . We have played nice for way too long, it’s time to fight back, get in the gutter with this scum.

you don't understand. it isn't CANCELLING it is correcting what is not suppose to be the indoctrination of the DNC in media and late night comedy and sitcoms.

Trump did a comedy central roast. Roast him all you want. but don't have lefty politics EVERYWHERE.

This isn't cancel culture. Cancel culture is they go back ten years to when you said something stupid and cancel you for it now. What's happening here is people are doing something stupid NOW and what they are saying is shown to their employers to make an informed decision if this is who they want representing their company.

Surprisingly enough, they don't.

Kimmel was just economics and opportunism by his employers. Locals couldn't sell ad time on his show because nobody wanted to be smeared by association with his stupid arse. He was already down massively in ratings. Completely inevitable. He just gave them all the rope they needed to hang him.

I wouldn’t characterize this as cancel culture. Cancel culture was getting people doxxed for having different political beliefs.

Consequence culture is unveiling people’s core values to their employers, who most definitely do not want the negative consequences nor the caliber of individuals who celebrate the murder of pacifists on the other side of the political spectrum.

Thank god we got your take on it.

I was waiting around. “Sure, we’ve got the news that Kimmel is canceled,” I said to myself. “But what does Tunasntigers92 think about it?”

I do have to say that it was a bit of a letdown what with the mental build up I had waiting for it.

I can't stand jimmy Kimmel, but we can't do what they did to conservatives, whether or not that cocksucker airs at night really has no effect on me, we are walking a fine line here.

Why not? Actions have consequences.

You’re worried about offending people who’d laugh if you were slaughtered tomorrow by a leftist loon or banned/deplatformed from social media.

These people were cancelling bank accounts for those they disagreed with, it happened to Trump.

And you want to show weakness?

What I have learned this year is the right really just wants their brand of authoritarianism imposed.

Whats your standard?

If you dont think teachers should be canceled for advocating political assassinations, what is your line?

Protestant?

I come from an unbroken line of Apostolic succession. I’m Pentecostal (in theology, not in ecclesiology).

Thank God your ancestors had more gumption in their collective sacs than you possess in your entire body.

There’s no such thing as cancel culture. It’s consensus culture. This what a pivot in the consensus feels like. The same people that canceled conservatives are now canceling radical leftists.
