Taxation is theft.
You're one of those 'redistribute the wealth' NPC losers.

It's the etc that's going to be bad. Almost 90,000 green IRS agents looking to justify their job should have everyone sweating just a little bit.
Double taxation will be the norm for us peasants

This 600 dollar thing is just an arbitrary number so the govt can collect their cut. What’s it matter if I make 600 in 24 hours or two 300 payments in 48? It’s complete over reach in a supposed free country.

Reporting is going to be important
I don't see how IRS will have tools to allow properly
Aka I sale my $600 tickets for $700 need way to get cost in there
Wonder if it is predatory to push digital currency

You should. Today it’s Venmo. Tomorrow it’s every account.

Wish they’d start putting fentanyl in our taxes.

It’s BS. Had an insurance settlement paid to me from Geico through Venmo. PayPal wants all my “tax ID” now for reporting purposes.
I explained it isn’t earnings - they don’t care and have “flagged” the transaction.
The last thing I need is some careless IT company running around with my SS# reporting whatever they feel like to the IRS.

This is why I’m starting to think they only cheat a little bit, more and more people like you caving to their policies willingly.

$600 is such as absurdly low amount and the entire premise is idiotic.
Most people getting around $600 aren't running businesses and skirting taxes.
They are selling crap around their house, sending money to a parent for their kids soccer team, paying back a friend for picking up lunch, etc.
My wife sold our old lawn furniture set, some old clothes and received money from friends for her sister's wedding shower and a friend's baby shower and it was well over $600.
This 1099 immediately opens up a path to trigger an audit if we fight to not claim this extra money.
Who keeps receipts for a 10 year old set of lawn furniture?

People do this all the time. Conservatives just need to get with the times.

How many times do you think a dollar should be taxed?

This.
Most of the time, Venmo transactions are done with take-home pay.

So is taxing you for a $600 receipt of funds on paypal for an ebay sale.
If you put these things together, a nefarious big picture evolves.
