Trump administration agrees to speed up student loan forgiveness.
"The administration and the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) reached the agreement Friday in the AFT v. U.S. Department of Education case, resolving months of legal tension over the government’s obligation to cancel student debt for borrowers who have made decades of payments under federal law."
I guess this person is happy. I'm sure she voted for it.

It's a program that has been around forever and it has been codified (i.e., law). Trump paused it to make sure it wasnt being abused by Biden. It was always coming back.

There is a place for student loan forgiveness just like there is a place for food stamps. It's just that they are abused, especially when a guy like Biden wants blanket forgiveness to anybody with any college loan (could be a seven year video games major).
If you are working in a low-paid public service job and have made a genuine commitment, I don't object to help with student loans within the construct of the agreement made long ago. I object to "free college for no good reason to buy votes".

Considering that the inability to repay student loans is a crisis, I hope that will be a sign for the Feds to get out of the student loan business.

Those loans were taken with the forgiveness program in mind. I don’t think the government should be in the student loan business but I also don’t think it should renege on its contractual obligations.

Don’t get me wrong, I voted for him because I thought he was a better choice and he was. He does lots of things that I agree with related to policy.
But, you can’t be the least bit critical toward him in any regard on this board. Or you will get attacked by his minions. These people are stealing money from their employer posting on Tiger droppings all day. They are lower middle class and will never do any better.
