Of coarse she fricked up. I didn’t say she didn’t. When the police want you then they are going to take you. So at that point all a person can do is go for the ride downtown to jail. If you have a grievance then you get a lawyer and address it that way. You don’t fight and struggle with the police while they are trying to put you in cuffs though. You don’t run, punch, kick, claw, or anything like that. Once you escalate things that way then that cop can make a mistake very easy. That guy knew better. He put himself in that position and he paid with his life. It’s tragic but shite happens sometimes in the heat of the moment.

They state AG will not allow a plea. He wants another political show trial.

Look the Chauvin case was so easy that my dog could have prosecuted it and won. You had a hard to watch video plus the defendant was male and not very likable. The circumstances will be totally different in this case and the defendant will be a female and a sympathetic figure because she has kids and she just made a bad mistake. This wasn’t something done on purpose. So yeah look for them to plea this one because it will be much harder to win.

Gotta love you libs. If the useless arse dickhead had not resisted arrest then his useless arse would still be walking around today. When you fight being arrested then shite can happen. He opened that door. The cop screwed up but that guy took it there and got himself killed and I don’t hold her responsible. He was in charge of himself and his actions. That cop did not reach for any type weapon until that guy put her in the position to use it. Everything that happened was due to his choice to resist and fight. Sometimes bad choices have heavy consequences and in this case he paid with his life. But make no mistake the whole thing was on him.

This is literally NOT how the law works.

A lot of people seem to think that the criminal law works like the rules on a preschool playground.

Maybe we would have a better system if the criminal law DID work that way, but it just doesn't.

Yeah...it's literally the only case where the perp didn't frick with the cops one way or another.

I'm not big on the cop authority BS, but in most (almost all) these cases it's people fricking with cops.

Some of it is the law scripted the process being too ridiculous...like the ATL case...that cop went step by step for 40 minutes until the guy snapped. I'd rather a no admission of guilt and just get em to the drunk tank type scenario. Then in the controlled environment, take the evidence/vitals.

TBH she is negligent and deserves to get jail. Duante or whatever the frick is name is a resisting thug POS, but he was unarmed. Chauvin on the other hand was detaining a junkie who OD'd and was going to die anyway.

As she should be. Her mistake cost a life. You don’t just get to say oops and make it all better.

Because murder implies she intentionally killed him, which she did not appear to do. The manslaughter charge is appropriate here since it was unintentional/negligent and she will most likely be found guilty on that charge.

The idiot that can't tell the difference between a hand gun and a neon colored tasered. After 26 years, it shows the level of incompetence in the police department.

She obviously did not look at the weapon she pulled. She was busy fighting with a guy. Her adrenaline was pumping and she went based off feel other than sight.

I'm with you on that one. I don't think that was murder, either, but that dude was way too twitchy to be a cop. No justification for that one other than a nervous cop saw a gun (and he was holding one himself, so weird, right?), pissed his pants and killed a citizen.

Well, she also murdered someone. She doesn’t deserve sympathy. I still do feel a little bad for her, because I don’t think she meant to pull the gun, but she did, a person is dead, and she deserves whatever happens to her.
