I believe the attack on LSU is politically motivated and a shot across the bow. Updated.P2

LSU is one of only a handful of major universities (if not the only one) to purge DEI loving progressives from administrative positions. The other SEC university presidents, ABC and ESPN through the SEC office are flexing to make LSU heel.

The litmus test is if Kiffin coached for Alabama and recruited "NFL" players, would the SEC be suing the school and threatening expulsion from the SEC? I think not!

It's definitely political with governors and state AG's involved

It's racially motivated. This is almost exactly how the Civil War started. Go back and look.
And surprise, surprise, it's Alabama & Mississippi at it again.

All the SEC is doing is making their leadership (if it can be called that) look incredibly childish, ignorant, and spiteful.
I don't believe me this will work out the way the SEC hopes it will.

Because the 50,000 threads on SEC Rant were not enough. At least sticky this and not allow more spillage from there.

What?
You could just as equally argue that this is racism.
LSU - 2 black players, black AD
Texas and USCe - white players, white ADs

LSU Loved DE&I and supported every COVID guideline. Seeing your stadium empty while Devonta Smith w/ showing out was a travesty. They should be expelled for that alone.
He learned this at Death Valley...
/sarcasm
OP, maybe... I just don't see it though. LSU always plays it fast and loose w/ Athletics.

We shoulda learned from Bama. Grease the SEC hands before we claim NCs that do not exist and pay for athletes.

Not supposed to discuss politics there. I believe the whole thing is politically motivated.
If Skanky is as calculated as they claim, something else is driving this besides him being butthurt.

Have you looked at the threads over there? Yea, many could be classified as such.

I believe that you think that is true but is only speculation on your part. Thread worthy? No. One stickied thread discussing the factual political aspects of this. Fine.

Hilarious if you actually believe this.

For politics, yes. Starting a thread with "I believe" and then provide nothing to back up your opinion is a grade below AI slop. The downvotes are a pretty good indicator at the quality of the thread creation.
My last word on this because it is just bumping a shitty thread back up. Starting to understand why so many want LSU out of the conference.

You obviously don’t know what happened here with Woodward, Will Wade, the LSU BOS and Board of Regents and our Governor.

The lawsuit and attempt to oust LSU from the SEC has such little foundation that it being mainly political is about the only thing that makes sense.
When you look at the application (or lack thereof) of that bylaw, the point of this all being political becomes more believable.
The NCAA and the SEC commonly allow "Testing the Waters" (players who declare for the NBA or NFL draft, work out with teams, hire an agent and even attend combines/tryouts but then withdraw by the deadline as long has they haven't been drafted nor sign a contract. This happens every year with dozens of players and it's never counted before as qualifying a player as a professional.
But there are specific examples of the NCAA violating their own bylaw even more fully:
-In 2020, AZ State punter Michael Turk declared for the NFL Draft, hired an agent, and participated in the combine. He went undrafted and unsigned and the NCAA restored his remaining eligibility, allowing him to return to ASU and play again.
-In 2023, James Nnaji was the 31st overall pick in the 2023 NBA draft. He played for Barcelona in the Euro league and played in the BNA summer league. He never signed an NBA nor G-league contract yet the NCAA granted him full eligibility for the 2025-2026 season. That's an NBA draftee playing college ball.
-For the 24-25 season, Russian guard Ego Demin played for BYU after having signed with and played for Real Madrid's Real Madrid B team (pro soccer). Now this was playing pro in one sport and college in another, but I don't see that as a difference in the NCAA's bylaws.
-Andrija Jelavic is a Croation forward who had a pro career in Serbia before enrolling in and playing for the Kentucky Wildcast.
-Thierry Darlan played for the NBA G-league Ignite in the 23-24 team and is now playing for the Santa Clara Broncos.
Nothing surrounding Dae'Quan Wright nor Zxavian Harris rises to that level. By their logic in this specific instance (which is contrary to the above examples), if I applied to be a State Trooper and then interviewed for it, I'm a State Trooper.

Provided we know the real motivation for all of this. Could all of this be the catalyst to induce federal legislation to get moving? The childish and continuous behavior towards LSU keeps telling me that the SEC could care less about this particular eligibility question. You only fight this hard when real money is on the line.....2 guys who at the end of the day are largely insignificant to the on field product whether they play or not is not the real reason for all of this
Posted on 9/9/26 at 11:55 am to loogaroo
I believe the attack is from LSU trying to cheat and they got caught.

Given the fact we are one of only two SEC schools to have a black Athletic Director, I don't think the lack of DEI has anything to do with it.
