#1 99.7% of jobs under VP no longer have a degree requirement or years of experience requirement

#2 Rooney Rule insures all roles have to have multiple interviews with underrepresented groups

#3 Partnering with HR to figure out how to discipline Leader positions that don't hire diversely enough

Functionally what this means is that we are moving to a Patron system where the talent pipeline will move via the Equality and Belonging networking groups (I've suspected this is already happening) with zero roadblocks to keep out insufficiently talented applicants.

years of experience requirement

That's ridiculous for anything above entry level if you ask me. In my years I've found out the hard way that no experience in higher level jobs is a giant clusterfrick waiting to happen.

If we can't get enough diversity hires in certain professions, there should be forced labor of minority groups.

I propose we start grabbing women out of nursing and force them into the coal mines so diversity can make that industry stronger.

I was in traffic yesterday afternoon and saw a bumper sticker for WRKF and thought "ya know, it's been a while since I've listened to some NPR-crazy... I think I'll indulge a little for laughs" and that very story was what came on next.

Prayers sent and an early congratulations on your new Assistant Executive Regional Director of Marketing Diversity (or whatever).

every company in the country can't hire diversely enough unless we have laws that say only 13% of your workforce can be black and 5% asian.

My company is becoming a shite show and will soon have all incompetent leadership and no bench to replace them once the joint implodes.

I can assure you that public companies who meet diversity requirements set forth by the gov will be first in line to get interest free loans and eternally deferred payments. Social justice and equity performance will be MUCH more profitable and risk free than traditional profit measures.

Your company will suck and not exist shortly. You hire by talent not by skin color, if they cut their naughty bits off or who they want to frick. Stupid is as stupid does.
Your company is doomed.
If you are white and straight ood luck interviewing for your next job if they have the same rules.
Dumb arse.

Obviously I won't say, but everyone else said they'd short last summer when I outlined their D&I commitments and the stock is +30% since then due to all the free money people are blowing via stimulus and tax credits.

I want to be clear, this company was weeks away from bankruptcy last year despite massive volume in the marketplace. They are literally one of the most poorly run companies at the executive level that I have ever seen. With our struggles to remain profitable I truly don't understand how the domestic marketplace isn't littered with the skeletons of defunct national brands 100x what it already is.
