You do know nothing is permanent in regulations right? The next administration can undo current regs.

Only thing that scares me is the large voting segment who pay no taxes and receive their income directly through govt programs. They will be motivated to head to the polls to stave off this return to personal responsibility.

And, a lot of people are getting bonuses from corporations going into 2018 due to the tax plan. This will still be fresh in their minds.
