Separation of church and state yet we vote at churches - I don't get it.

Memorial services with religious hymns being played at the rotunda - I don't get it.

Our president as president and not as the man attending prayer breakfasts - I don't get it.

Exactly what is separation of church and state with the above going on? The term sounds more like a convenience to me for those who look down on religion. Go figure.

Read your Constitution again, the whole thing. The phrase "separation of church and state" isn't in there anywhere. What is in there is "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;"

No, it's like saying, based on what you are calling hypocritical in your OP, you have a fundamental misunderstanding of what the Constitution says and what it means.

The so-called "Separation of Church and State" only applies to the government establishing a religion and demanding that the citizens swear allegiance to said religion. The example is England and the Anglican Church. There is no prohibition against a politician having and living by personal religious beliefs, nor a public show of reverence for those beliefs. The First Amendment protects the Freedom of Religion, it does not enforce the Freedom FROM Religion.

You poor dumb fool. You think you’re educated I’m sure. But instead you’ve just been politically indoctrinated and you don’t even realize it.

Atheism is a religion whether you want to admit it or not. Man is your god. The government shouldn't favor your religion over mine.

I could write a book on the hypocrisy of what our federal government has become, versus what the Constitution says.

Amendment 10:

"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

Read the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights, and tell me how our federal government has grown so unfrickingbelievably huge and tyrannical in less than 250 years.

The 10th Amendment applies to the Supreme Court as well. The fact that they choose to ignore that they have no constitutional mandate to pass judgement on certain cases and subjects, is a perfect example of the hypocrisy, and tyranny we are discussing.

There is no separation of church and state in the Constitution.
Get it now?

Separation of church/state is a crutch

In fact, religion is held in higher regard by the founders than the actual govt. Separation is just their "legal" way of getting around the Constitution to maintain control of it

So they legally just "ignore it", by using something they created, after the fact. Which actually is unconstitutional
