If they already used 500 body bags why is the reported death toll still in the 215 range?

Someone is lying.

Harmful Propaganda directed against the nobility and integrity of Der Staat will be ruthlessly suppressed and panic-mongers will be arrested and tried by The People.

The People's Democratic Republic of the USA will not tolerate such enemies of Socialism.

They haven’t used 500 body bags unless they’re doing something else besides putting bodies in them.

Regardless, our federal officials (Mayorkas) bloviate continuously about climate change while others spout off about Israel and Ukraine.

I’m always suspicious of these sort of accounts.

Who’s in charge of the body bag registry and would be privy to the “official tally” throughout various dispersed counties.

Why is it always, I just spoke to a friend who told me.. instead of the person seeing things directly posting?

I remember when there were over a thousand missing in Maui, and we never heard the resolution.

I assume there were never a thousand missing.

I think the key is “unaccounted for”.

People were chased out with no cell coverage and utter chaos.

They could easily be holed up with a neighbor, a relative or a campground with little means or inclination to check in with authorities.

But yes too many of the missing are probably buried under mud in some holler.

Everything about what’s going on in NC is exactly this. It started day one.

“I’m in New Jersey, I just spoke to my cousin in NC he said the government is arresting rescuers. They have NO POWER OR CELL SERVICE, no food or water and no one doing anything”

The destruction stories coming from people in NC are bad but it seems to be improving thankfully.

It is possible no b one is lying. If a debris flows tears a body apart, and various parts are found separately, they would be put in separate bags. A body might use 2, 3 or more bags to capture.

Bad rumors are always rampant during chaos and get spread a lot faster than good rumors. Even when things don't disrupt comms, like the assassination attempt, it typically takes 48 hrs for the bullshite to get sifted out. It will last a lot longer for this disaster because comms are shite.

This is up there with navy seals clearing our Charity Hospital after Katrina.

You can post any rumor now during a disaster and as long as the last line says the government/help is no where to be found it will spread like wildfire.

I remember when they flew in 15,000 for 9/11 and were afraid they didn’t have enough.

Someone is lying.
what they're probably referring to is a delivery of 500 body bags to some node that then got divvy'd up and dispersed.

So yes, someone is lying because that isn't being "used", that's being distributed.

The fact that 500 bbags left your shelf doesn't mean 500 bbags now have cadavers in them. And it shouldn't be extrapolated or reported as such.

That's what happened during Michael. The owners of a local funeral home are family friends and Mexico Beach "ran out" of body bags and was requesting them from local areas that could spare them. That immediately became "there are so many dead bodies we don't have enough body bags".

I think the death toll in Florida was less than 10. Unbelievable damage, but not a lot of people killed.
