Finally some actual good news out of TX. We’ve had a bad run the last couple years.

Who knows?
Abbott is pushing for a mandatory 10 year sentence for any educator caught in any sexual/predatory/grooming crime toward a student. There would be no probation or deferred crap. If it does come up, it won't be until next year before it is voted on.

One of the good things about the Texas Legislative system is that they only meet for 140 days every two years. Limiting the amount of time those money and power grubbing lawyers are together is a good thing. Hopefully we can keep the Capitol building more of a tourist attraction and less of a gathering house.

If judges are going to continue to practice lawfare, then judges need to be ridiculed and shamed daily by the public. Instead of telling an Aggie joke, tell judge jokes instead!!

They will say they dont legislate from the bench let congress pass a law. Meanwhile they wont rule on any cases where lower courts have legislated from the bench.

I wonder how this will affect the votes in Travis county and Austin proper??
I truly do not believe that any voting going on in Austin city council races are honest. Yes Austin is a liberal bastion but even most libs won't vote for some of the asinine tax increases that seem to pass every time.
I don't live in Austin but it always amazes me of who gets elected there.
