Well the price of everything you will buy will go up 20 to 30 percent. I'm not sure you will like no income tax as you think.
Get a fricking job bum

Who the frick cares? So what if it brings in less money for the gov to spend? Small govt people should be all over that

No, they are exactly the same for everyone. Simply not being "progressive." does not make them "regressive."

and disproportionately harm the poor.
So?
The fact that the government currently takes a huge chunk of the money that I earned and uses part of it to give to poor people to buy soda and junk food disproportionately harms me. Because then I have to pay for those same people's Obamacare premiums and deductibles once they spend my money to give themselves diabetes.
I'd like to not be the one disproportionately harmed for once in my adult life.
P.S. It's not hard at all to correct for what you're whining about. Just don't tax certain baseline goods and services. But you knew that already.

Atleast I can make that decision. Also maybe politicians might think before giving foreign countries money.

I'm for paying the least amount of tax.
As Louisianans, you guys should realize that you just voted yourselves a net tax increase with the shite to a higher consumption tax.
We see Louisiana as a test case and we see people bitching and moaning already about a 10% tax...
Taxes are a part of living in society.

But once you start playing that game you give the power right back to the government.

I paid more in federal income taxes last year than I made the year I graduated college.
It would be a huge deal.

Oh look another big brained LOLbertarian moron.
Let's burn it all down and then recreate the same systems with a differnet name. lmao.
Given enough time under your system you will end up with thousands of pages of exemptions.

I hate to be the rain on the parade but I think salaries would lower to offset the difference.
A 20-40% “raise” would be short lived and we’d be back in the same place relative to buying power.
But I’d like to find out and be proven wrong!

Well, I get to decide when I pay taxes; and there would be exceptions for food staples

I don't live in Louisiana and I could be wrong, but I'm not at all sure that's correct based on the math.
Also (obviously) it also depends on how much you consume and what your taxable income is.
But even for the average Louisianian I'm not sure that's correct.

Lulz
Yet MAGA is talking the most conservative, small govt thingy in history
I'm sorry it has hurt your feelings. The ronbois narrative is taking a beating today
1) John Bolton
2) stopping all immigration
3) birthright citizenship
4) foreign aid
5) tariffs
6) J^ pardons
all the things they claimed wouldnt happen, is happening

What makes you think that would happen?
The labor market isn't influenced by taxes as far as I can see.
It's supply and demand, same as any market.

Guess what? I could then determine how much I pay, based on my own strategy. Not some lifer congress critter
If enough people like you "sat it out", they'd just raise the tariffs to a point where you would ultimately pay.
Poor people don't have/make enough to pay for our current spending levels
*ETA: and if they didn't raise enough money, the deficit spending would create more taxes via inflation that would create this equilibrium
