Was watching a video on it. The feds ambushed them by setting up a trap to make them stop and shot both numerous times without any proof they were armed at the time and they never actually returned fire or anything. Never showed themselves.

Seems like an extrajudicial killing violating their right to trial. They knew they were coming and could easily have just surrounded them when they stopped where they couldn’t escape.

Because B&C had better weapons (BARs) than most law enforcement and they were sworn to use them.

Law really had no option.

Don’t be such a pussy.

B & C had proven they were not going to be taken alive and they were carrying serious firepower for that era. They were going down no matter what. Crap had been going on for two years.

Seriously. What a stupid post.

Feds had BARs. The 1933 Ford V8 B&C used was so thick in the body steel that Thompson’s and handguns couldn’t penetrate the steel.

Posses and vigilante justice were time honored traditions back in the day.

B&C had BARs.

It’s believed that Clyde was killed by a shot to the head from a Remington.

I believe a few times cops were killed shouting for them to give and get out of their car. Cops were dead before they could respond. Maybe that was on the minds of the feds when they opened fire.In the movie Costners character demanded they show their hands.

It wasn't legal, but they weren't really concerned about that.

They stop on the road in their Ford
For them, a pause in their ride
It's glory for the ambushing lawman
But death for Bonnie and Clyde

In the movie didn’t they have a car pretending to be broken down in the road?
